    Hi MU

Just remember - the only way is UP now. We're all on here to help you, not judge you. :A

Please, please don't feel guilty about burdening us with your problems. None of us came on here because we had perfect lives. We all need a bit of help sometimes. Don't be afraid to take it.

It's corny I know but what is that old saying? A problem shared is a problem halved!

Hope everything goes well with the move.

    Keep in touch.

  • Messed Up, you have done the bravest/hardest thing anyone in your situation could have done and that's posted here what you have been going through and how you feel. You know from all the other posts that no one is going to judge you and you have not let anyone down. Just by being able to put into words here what has happened and how you actually feel is the biggest step forward. I am sure you can remember the time you could not even bear to thing about what has happened let alone put it into words.

I wouldn't think that there are many people who have gone through what you have so no one can really say they understand how you feel. Please just know that you have a lot of friends on this site who will be thinking of you and here whenever you need them. No matter what time of day. There are plenty of early morning posters'.

Take care Messedup and hopefully in the not too near future you will feel like you can change your name to "I've got there and life is so much better".

just caught up with your thread. good luck with your house move today.
maybe this move, and all the support you are getting from these folks here will be the start of your new life. I hope you can find the strength to see the GP. you must not feel guilty or unworthy of help. there is help out there, you just need to take the first step to tap in to it.
I dont know if you have heard of Cruse. they offer one to one counseling to people who are struggling after a bereavement. there are local branches - number in the phone book.

  • I agree with dogrose that the OP may well benefit from some specialist bereavement counselling. It must be dreadful to lose you rchild, unimaginable.

Just to say that I too am here for support/friendly ear.

I hope you get this message before you move
I wanted to say a big hello and welcome as well nad offer you another big :grouphug: to add to the sweaty pile :D

let me tell you a bit about me.

I got into shed loads of debt, through overspending, getting drunk, buying fancy holidays. I came here in March literally drowning with everything bouncing all over the place, and thinkgs going from bad to worse. I have no emotional reasons, I was just rubbish with cash.

I came here in March and managed to get it all together, by moneysaving and cutting back. However, over the course of 06 ( worst year ever? probably for me!) I have had to deal with OHs dad getting cancer, me being off work and unable to walk/ move, hormonal hell, losing my job, constructive dismissal, selling my flat to move to a rented place. Lots of people here said ,take it easy, stop moneysaving so hard etc, you need to rest.

Something you said really touched a nerve with me, of needing a financial plan to keep it together. I can completely identify with this. If I hadnt been such an ardent moneysaver - I wouldnt have had the structure my life needed. Plus I couldnt deal with any more panic adn stress from scum banks and the like. So being as moneysaving and moneymaking as possible, gave me the structure and plan I so desperately needed. And it sounds like you do too.

    .

Moving house, I find can be quite therapeutic ( Im a habitual mover, and love "new starts") You can make money from moving - In terms of cash back for your suppliers. When you have time look at quidco.com. Its a cash back site. Basically, its very eqasy, join up, and click threough to variuous supliers etc. So if you start u0p electric somewhere, click through uswitch and youll get 15 quid. same with gas. and so on. More for insurances. If you dont do it now, dont worry you can do it later on when you switch later on.

A few answers to questions you have asked thqat seem to have got lost in and amongst the hugs

    1) your tax
Call the inland revenue & ask them. In my experinece they are great, and quite quick ( for government :p) This is a simple task you can do quickly, and it will help you feel like youve started to walk the journey.

    2) your overdraft.
Im with lloydstsb too, and its fairly standard that they review yearly. I have never had them reduce my overdsraft without me expressly asking. After all, its making them a heap of money innit ;) What you can do when youve moved is try and move banks to one with a free overdraft. Alliance & Leicester will "match your overdraft" and its interest free for a year.
You can also get paid ( is it 50 quid still? ) for opening it via quidco.

I hope you move signifies a new positive start for you. You have all the support and more you will ever need here. You are bothering no one who doesnt want to help, we are all here, day and night to hep each other through the highs & lows, and personally, I never tire of it! ( hence my post count)

Also do not discount how stressful moving is. The momentum shifting, not being able to find anything you want and not having internet for a few days, is tremendously stressful in itself.

Sending you a lovely :coffee: strength, hugs and best wishes

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
