Hi
How long does it take to write a cheque?????? And why oh why are they sending cheques out??? Surely it would be so much easier to transfer the funds directly into peoples accounts??? I have lost all faith in them so after 17 years I'm looking at banking with someone else? If anyone knows of a decent bank please let me know! :rotfl:
(Sorry needed to get that rant out of my system!)
Good luck everyone hope we all get our money back soon!:j
The issuing of cheques to Lloyds current account holders only for it to be paid back into a Lloyds account is a joke. It's just another delaying tactic. It's really simple for Lloyds to check current account holders and issue a BACS payment. However, they chose not to do this. Once they get round to paying us (whenever that is), it takes them another full week to get the cheque out in the post (and for us to receive it through our letterbox) and then another 6 days to clear!! I asked them to change this to BACS but was put off when they said I'll have to go the back of the queue and will take another 6 to 8 weeks once that happens. My emails are ignored so I wrote another complaint letter to claim the additional interest 2 weeks ago but have not had any response to that yet, surprise surprise.0 -

Claim first sent - 15th November 2010
Offer letter received - 21st September 2011
Many calls later - STILL no payment.
PLUS they have told me it will be paid into a Lloyds account that I haven't used for approximately 15 years! (It's still active as my credit card was linked to it and I was told that if I shut it I would have to repay the debit on the card!)
Lloyds are taking the ***s out of everyone who has a claim pending.0 -
