I have just called Lloyds TSB again about my loan PPI refund and have been told that it has now been decided to make the payments via BACS as this should speed things up a bit (!) and that a new batch of letters have just been sent out to explain that interest will be paid and what the new amount will be. When I asked for a date for the payment I was given the backlog speech again and told there is still no timescale for payments. When I asked if I would be receiving another letter in 4 weeks time, with additional interest, new figure and no payment date, I was told; 'yes probably'.

At least they are taking a different approach now, it was just lies last week and now they are being realistic.
It's a shame that the truth is just as disappointing as fiction and goes to show the true scale of the problem.
How they can ever have truly believed payments would be made in 21 days I don't know, I am getting on to 3 times that now and actually feel like I am getting further away from my payment rather than closer to it.Money Saving IQ 142 - Does that mean I am tight?0 -
Funny how it just seems like lloyds are the only ones having problems my complaint was lodged on 11th may and still haven't been paid. But I lodged a complaint with sainsburys on the 23rd of August and a nice check of six grand turned up today no hassle or phone calls job done.
Why are lloyds allowed to get away with it.0 -

I first logged my complaint in may
I had my letter 22nd of September
interest calculated till the 17th of October
Ive just this minute got off the phone with lloyds and more or less word for word ive been told exactly the same. And they couldnt give me a timescale either.
I have no idea whats going on with my loan being restructured, has before I spoke to the ppi complaints department I spoke to the loan department..
The ppi refund im getting is on my loan which is still on going. When I eventually get my money I will be paying this loan off, but in the mean time as well as my monthly payment there apparently is a standing order on there now for £79 which also comes off the payment which im presuming is the ppi.. although the women on the phone couldnt understand this hense why she put me through to the ppi..
more confused than ever now.. the only good thing about phoning this time was there was no music played down the phone and I got straight through ..
can anyone tell me what BAC is?0 -

A bacs payment is basically an electronic transfer which can take upto three days to clear. So they don't have to send out cheques and this is ment to make it easier, but lloyds will still say they don't know where they are with the payment.0 -
Put my claim in on 14th May 2011
got my offer letter mid aug
got my calculations letter 20th Sept 2011
no payments so kept email and calling finally spoke to a manager call Val, she was able to speak to the finance team and arrange a BACS payment for PPI from 2 closed loans which was great but since then i've heard nothing about my 2 on-going loans, still paying PPI insurance each month including this month !! have just sent off another email telling them what i think of them and their business.....
so Pee'd off who knows if i'll see the rest !!0 -
Started claim May 2011,
Offer letters 21 sept (cc) and 26 sept (loan)
got cc payment 24th october 2011
still waiting for loan payment
days since offer - 39!
got the usual email response from CEO which seems to be standard to everyone! refuse to phone as no corporate giant has "customer is always right" policy and they just pass you from pillar to post winding you up even more!0 -
i dont know why lloyds are sending me a cheque for my loan either as i paid by DD and still have the account with them! grrr!0

CEO of Lloyds has been signed off work sick for 6-8 weeks due to stress so there's no point in emailing him anymore however keep email Andrea Barry. the more we keep pushing they have to do something !!
also i've been told my next payments will be bacs - so hopefully this will be quicker0 -
We received a letter on 30th August 2011 saying we were getting a full refund on our ppi. We received another letter dated 08th September saying we were getting a refund of £2102.96. All it says is payment will be made shortly but 8 weeks later we're still waiting. In the mean time we know others who started their claims weeks after us and theyve been paid out. we tried telephoning them but an automated service said if the claims already gone through theres no need to contact them. what a joke !!!0
