barclays 40 day wait for ppi

Hi guys.

I, like many of you, had to wait longer than the 40 working days.

However, heeding the advice from many on here, I emailed Bob Diamond... It was the best thing I could've done.

I received a call from his P.A. tw days after the mail was sent, they ere extremely apologetic and 3 days later the full estimate + interest was in my account! :j:D

If you have gone past the deadline, send him a polite email and things WILL get sorted!

just wanted to let everyone know i finally got my money. I emailed bob everyday for a week then i sent him a rather rude email stating how rude it was to ignore my email. then got a reply from his assistant and with in 3 days my money was in my account. dont give up email BOB everyday. goodluck x

It's just like hitting your head against a brick wall isn't it? :mad::mad:

An offer was written to me on the 10th November with a cheque enclosed (allegedly!) but I've never received it. Many, many phone calls later and after demanding a copy of the letter at least, that arrived yesterday clearly showing the date it should have been sent out and at the bottom of the letter stated cheque enclosed.

Because I haven't received the cheque or letter then they have said they will pay it directly into my account - that was over two weeks ago and still nothing.

I phoned yesterday to be told that there was no further news and they didn't know when this would go through but because as the case has had to be reopened then I would have gone to the bottom of the queue again!!

Doh!! When will this nightmare end, it's so unfair that I was issued a cheque - they even had the cheque number - but because I had never received it then it's got to start all over again.

I doubt if I'll see anything this side of Christmas now.

Sorry to hear this Debt FreeG what a nightmare, have you emailed Bob directly? It may help your case.

I;m about to send a letter to Barclaycard regarding PPI and charges incurred. Did you have to send the 10 fee?, or could I word the letter just asking for a refund of charges and PPi payment, will do two separate letters.
