i rang barclays again today and my claim now going into 80 days wait has gone to head office so i asked was that because i emailed bob diamond and was told probably, sent 3 emails to bob with no reply and low and behold i had email this afternoon from his office to say my claim is being investigated and would get back to me asap so lets wait and see0

so are you telling me that you are into the 80 working days ie monday to friday? that is shocking if thats true i had my hopes up when somebody said there working about 20 days behind no im realy mad with them!!!!0

Hi everyone
There really doesn't seem to be any sense in the order that they are making payments.
We received our letter 5th Nov, returned it 6th Nov - checked last Monday , 21st Nov, that they had received it which they had on the 9th Nov. We were told that there is an eight week turnaround but it may be sooner. Cheque received Friday 25th Nov.
Good Luck everyone.0 -
yes i am in 80th day wait, hopefully 3 emails later to bob diamond my case has gone to chief executive head office for investigation so hopefully some good news, and they are still taking ppi from account, email bob diamond a few times and yes monday to friday0

Keep going everyone, the more Mr Bob Diamond is emailed the more he'll pull his finger out to sort the payments, if its overdue - it's overdue - dont wait for Barclays to contact you to make payment. Kick up a fuss about your claim, the banks are quick enough to take it, why cant the reciplicate it to their customers. Keep going, don't give up and wait for them.0

thats bad 80 days. just got of phone after 30 mins talking to somebody and he filled me in on some news about claims there isnt a order that they pay people so you could be waiting 4 days or 40 days witch is crazy and unfair. another thing was there approx 25 days behind so that 40 days could be 65 days
. not only that but the estimate they give you could be massive different. they work out your loan or loans and the ppi you would have payed if they went all the way to the end ie 5 year loan 60 payments but if your like me i payed 3 out of my 4 loans of earlly then the ppi is going to be alot smaller than the estimate so the 8100 estimate i got is more like 3000 but hay i never had the money in the 1st place so daft to moan realy

i am currently on my 15th Working day over the 40 days, Barclays are becoming a joke!!!!!!!!!0

I received my letter stating they were upholding my claim on the 21st September they gave me an estimated redress amount of £6,700, the letter stated that Barclays would be in touch but this may take up to 40 days. I rang them as I had changed my contact details, I was told, no we do not contact you the money will be paid directly back to you and into your account. Also discovered that they had made a mistake and this would have to be re-calculated. The 40th day was up on the 15th November, today is the 50th day and nothing as been refunded to me. When I last rang for an update I was told that they could not put an estimated time scale on refunds due to the excess amount of claims they had received. I am pulling my hair out with them, if they cannot adhere to the 40 day rule then they should not state 40 days.
This morning I too e-mailed Robert Diamond and am now awaiting a response.0 -
Good News for me...
My claim was accepted and I was advised on 05.09.2011 that the refund would be in my account in 40 working days. My account was credited with this money today. That is a total of 23 working days over the 40 day lead given.
I had emailed the office of Robert Diamond and received a response 3 days later to advise that my case would be looked at. I cannot say that the reason I have my money is because of doing this though as no one has called/emailed or written to me. I believe that it was just my turn to be paid.
I hope that the dates and time-lines I have given in my case have been of use to people on here and I wish you all the best of luck!!!!!0 -
