Fantastic news Munton, am really happy for you.

Did they pay you everything they said they would?

    Thank you!!!

They paid about £500 less but I was expecting that anyway as the first calculation covered the whole of the loan and my PPI was actually removed about 2 years ago. Still a cracking amount though!

And they didn't take any of it off my out standing loan or the credit card I had with EGG that they have now taken over. I was really concerned they would clear these amounts before paying me back!

    Good Luck to everyone:T

Our claim was upheld and an offer was received on 01 November, we accepted and returned the form in the enclosed pre-paid envelope. Today we have received 2 cheques dated 22 November so this is well before the 40 days.
Our loan was re-paid early in full in 2007 so nothing outstanding with Barclays.

We are delighted with the speed in which we have received this, thanks Martin, my hero!!

    I've resorted to emailing Bob!
  • ive sent yet another email to mr diamond today, i had a reply from his office monday to say it was being investigated but you are being left in limbo again, what i dont understand people who have put claims in the first quarter of this year why theyre claims have been upheld but still awaiting payment, but people who are claiming in the last couple of months are being paid out, surely older claims get priority, its so frustrating, the 40day waiting has doubled for me, and have lost patience now.

    Hi

I phoned Barclays on 06.09.11 to start of my claim. I got my 40 day offer letter on 29.11.11. I got the cheque this morning in the post 01.12.11. No acceptance letter or anything ,just the cheque. It is only a small claim £575 but Barclays have been very quick for me. Hope this encourages people to have a go.

i think small claims are quick to sort out there money there is the longer it takes its complete madness what there doing to pay people out think they just pick people out of a hat how there going to pay next
  • My advice is to email Robert Diamond as after waiting since 21st November for settlement he has chased it through today and a cheque was in the post on 30th November.
So don't accept this bad service annoy the man at the top and you will cut through this biblical 40 days.
  • After 15 days of calls to demand my dosh back, e-mailed Bob Diamond using address from post in this forum Tue 29th Nov just 15 days over 40 day period etc and got a call Thursday 31st Nov from a posh dude at Barclays London expressing his apologies, saying he would pass my e-mail onto payment team... suprised to say, got paid out today, about £40 less that my original redress est, but really really chuffed, in time for a very expensive period. thanks for advice from all folk on this forum...
