    Currently have the following

    Talk Unlimited: XL
    TV Size: XL
    V+ HD
    Broadband Size: M 10Mb

    Then they apply
    Loyalty Pack Bb/ Phone/TV C

    Bundle charges total £33.00
    Phone rental £13.90
    Total 46.90 per month

I recently switched my dad over to Virgin as his own digibox died and virgin were offering £150 cashback (which made a 12 month deal great value). He has a 500MB Tivo and wireless router.

I would quite like the TIVO and a new router myself so time for a call to see what they will offer me I reckon
  • Currently got the following

    TV XL
    Broadband Large
    V+ HD Box

    £40.00 per month

This seems to have crept up over the past year & having looked on here others seem to be getting a better deal, might need to put a call in!!!

Sounds like it's time for me to give VM a call: -

    TV XL

    Phone L

    Broadband XXL

    Virgin phone line

    Sky Sports Collection

V HD Box - HD activated

    V+ HD Box

£96.40 all in. Contract ends in May, but may use the 30 day cancellation notice.

My bill was due to increase by a record ( :cool2: ) £4.85 a month, so called VM cancellations today. They did offer to give me a £4 a month discount on the new total, but I nicely asked to continue with the termination.
The very nice lady did say that she had 'managed' to get all cancellation fees waived for me (I didn't point out that there shouldn't be any ;) ), so now I wait for hold my nerve :rotfl::rotfl:
    C'mon you Canaries!!
  • Currently have:

    Home phone XL
    TV XL - VHD Box
    Broadband XL

    £47.56 for these services

    then -£9 loyalty discount

    but +£13.90 line rental

    package total £52.46
  • I Moved from Sky/BT/Orange a couple of years back to Virgin - the full package - TV, Broadband & Landline in a consolidation & costcutting exercise.
I have to say - their broadband is 2nd to none.
Plus I do like the Tivo box we moved to last Sept/Oct.
BUT the prices have crept up & up, and now they tell me they are adding a further £4 (yes - I know its only £4!) to my monthly bill - this will take it to around £62 a month - excluding any "stray peak calls",and I DONT EVEN HAVE SPORTS OR MOVIES!
    I have
    a Tivo box,
    an extra box upstairs,
    XL TV,
    Evening & Weekend Calls,
    L Broadband,
    + Phone line rental.
(Plus As Part of the Tivo deal _ I'm on loyalty discount of £8 month until Oct!
    taking me down to £57)
    - by Oct I'll be paying £70 !!
    HELP !!!

You are entitled to call VM, and go through to the "are you thinking of leaving Virgin Media" team, and tell them you want to exercise your right to give 30 days notice to terminate your contract. You must do this within 30 days of receiving your price increase letter from VM.
In my case (and may others), VM will call you within a few days, and thenit's up to how much you fee you can push them, to negotiate a better deal. I got a Tivo box, installed and activated for free, plus a £10 per month price drop, and £100 credit to my account.
    C'mon you Canaries!!
