They lied and said that they could change all my services over when they knew that they would not be able to change the fibre optic cable that brings the Broadband into the house to their older broadband without a telephone line so I ended up getting Sky and Plusnet. Simplify Digital offered me
TV Size M+ (with V HD box) & broadband size L, Phone Size M
this would cost £0.00 for 3 months then £20 per month
Line rental (payable to Virgin Media) would cost £13.90 per month so
total cost for first 3 months would be £13.90 then £33.90 per month
They also told me that there would be NO activation costs, I would pay £25 now but that would be refunded and that once I had been with Virgin for 90 days I would get £100 back from them.
All this is in writing in an email from Simplify Digital
I just got my first bill for £92.75!!! I looked at it only to find that I was being charged the full amount of £33.90 for the first month, £33.90 for the second month AND an activation charge!!! Phoned Virgin and shouted at them to get them to make the reductions promised but dont believe all you hear about Simplify Digital. They are not good

did you manage to sort your bill out? i signed up through simplyfy digital the begining of march, they called me yesterday as a follow up and told me that if the £100 wasnt credited to me, then call virgin and ask them to put it on, if they didnt then they said to call them direct and they would chase it up for me. Can you please let me know if you managed to sort it out in case im in your predicament next month.

After being with Virgin for about 12 years I found their retentions department very fair today after speaking to their indian call centre people three times, and trying to get a price for a V+ box or Hd box to replace our old standard box and get the old box moved to daughters room.
Son has a V+ box in his room and pays for sky sports.
Too many options from upgrade call centre and various fitting fees or send an HD box through the post-all sorted now-One call to retentions centre explaining and we get a tivo box in our main room,the old box will be replaced by an hd box and fitted free into daughters room and son keeps his V+box.
Signed up for an 18 month contract-no installation fee and overall with loyalty bonus will cost £5.50 a month extra-The chap on the phone even agreed that the installation team will go up from the front of the house and drill through daughters wall to get her box sorted-She who has to be obeyed dont want cables running up the stairs!!When my lad has his V+box fitted they kindly drilled through the ceiling of a cupboard! Thank you very much Virgin-Excellant customer service.

Not sure if this is a deal or not as I've asked to cut a couple of things ie call divert and move back to evening and weekend calls. I was paying £94.65 for:
BB: L
TV: XL
Phone: XL
Sky Sports Collection
V+HD
1 additional V box
Call Divert.
I've been offered £83 for:
30mg BB
XL TV
Tivo
V+ Box
Sky Sports
Evening and weekend calls.

Can't work it out! I've said I'll get back to them, but does anyone have any ideas?
