I have a retention deal (been with them for years...) which just started yesterday:

1TB Tivo (free activation and install)
    V+ Upstairs
    XL TV
    Sky Sports
    Sky Movies
    Sky HD Package
    XL Phone
    Talk International
    Talk Mobile
    0845 Calls included
XXL 50mb Broadband (free hub, activation and install)

£86.46 all in and fixed (except for line rental price increases) for as long as I have the deal - no new contract.

Its basically the VIP 50 bundle but with additional discount on top...

I've been a VM customer since they took over Telewest and I a package review is long overdue. I have:

    M Phone (free w/end calls)
M Broadband (which is fine for our needs)
XL TV (although I'd like to downgrade to L)

I'm paying £41.90 p/m. Think I'll give them a call to see if I can get cheaper.....but I really don't want to leave VM.

Oh, also have VM mobile for £9.99 p/m. This gives me a BB curve 9300, 200 calls, 250 txts & 500mb internet.

Anyone with VM needs to look at http://www.quidco.com/sky-digital-tv-and-broadband/?ac.

I have been with VM for over 9 years.

I have now got Sky +, TV entertainment package, phone free evening & w/end calls (inc 0870 and 0845 nos), unlimited b/band, phone line rental, free WIFI router, free install for everything (apart from a new PSTN phone line install) and a 12 month contract. After I factor in the Quidco cashback, M&S voucher, £10 fee for phone line install, it is effectively costing me approximateky £27-00 per month.

I subscribed to Sky via Quidco and then sent an email to the VM CEO to see if VM could beat or match the offer. Got a phone call from the Exec Customer Support team today to advise me that they couldn't match Sky's offer. He also advised me to try again with VM in 12 months time as a 'new' user as I would probably get a better deal.

My advise is to get the Quidco offer for Sky (it finishes tonight) and then email the VM CEO to see if VM can match or beat the offer. Please remember that you do have a cooling off & cancel period with the Sky contract; so if VM can match or beat the offer, you won't be out of pocket with Sky !

I'm now seeing whether I can get a better offer with Sky. I won't go into details until I have got it sorted.

Don't inderstand your post or logic.

My post is relevant for VM packages.......I have been with VM for years and was just highglighting that Quidco are currently promoting an excellent deal for Sky. I have also advised VM people to contact VM CEO to see if VM can match or beat the Quidco Sky offer.

You then contradict yourself by stating 'i see its a good deal' but then state 'i dont have a bt line and im not paying to get one installed'. The Sky cost for installing a PSTN line is £10 with the Quicdo deal. The normal price is £30. As I advised in my previous posting, I have still saved a load of money with the £10 cost and I'm sure that many other VM users would as well with this Quidco deal.

By the way it is not a BT line...it is a Sky PSTN line.

    HTHs.

    + Line Rental

    = £63.90

Been a customer since Bell Cablemedia back in the mid-90s, so I probably have a retention bonus of some sort, but haven't reviewed my package with them for years - I'm worried that they'll browbeat me into taking a "standard" package instead of keeping the deal I'm on. I would like to get V+ or Tivo, though, so I'll call them in a few days' time and see if I can talk them into something.

I agree with the poster who said it keeps nudging up though, used to be under £25

I have Broadband L only and pay £11/month. Was paying the £21/month previously but retentions offered me £10/month off. Happy to not be tied in for the line rental of a phone line, but I've rang twice now to see if they can give me the M+ TV package on the cheap, but not getting anywhere.
