Strange Phobias

Wasps for one.
And then injections, but only injections on my arms.

I can happily have tattoos and piercings and the depo injection in my bumcheek lol but I near enough pass out at the sight of a jab near my arm.

As an actual irrational fear: daddy long legs. Can't even stay in the room if there is one and I have to call my neighbour to come kill it. Live fish freak me out too, I can't swim in the ocean because of it. Same with shellfish.

As extreme dislikes: People who spit. Makes me gag, even just thinking about it. In the same vein, people who cough and bring up phlegm in public. Had to leave the bus the other day as someone was doing it and I was nearly sick. Bleurghhhhhh....._pale_

Anything "slimy" makes me sick too. I couldn't ever eat porridge or jelly for example, or thick soup. Yuk.

My mum is petrified of ladybirds. Every year we have a 'real' christmas tree and one year the tree had a ladybird nest in it. :rotfl:

I am terrified of telephones. I can't answer one, or phone anyone unless I specifically know who will answer it.

I can text fine, but I also can't answer my mobile, even when I know the caller.

Phones just freak me out.

I hate fish too; I can eat them but live, swimming about when they may touch me (i.e. in the sea) terrifies me. ,

I have a phobia about sticky hands...I cannot bear to have anything sticky near my hands and I have to wash them immediately.

When DS was small he, like all toddlers, always had sticky hands. I used to carry wet wipes everywhere and was always mopping away at his hands before I could bear to hold them. If you ask him what his phobia is, he will probably say wet wipes! :rotfl:

I can't watch those time-lapse films of chicken eggs hatching or of flowers opening, they really freak me out. My mum has some flowers in her garden that close up at night and I can't walk past them in case they start opening! :eek::eek::eek:

Have to avoid the veg aisle in supermarkets, and have panic attacks if i come into close proximity to some

Go absolutely loon when I am on fairground and I can hear the mix of machinery with loud music. I cannot even look at the rides and there is no way I could watch my kids on them. Also anyone driving the car fast with music blaring, it makes me have a full blown panic attack but if I am driving I feel perfectly safe!!!!

I'm terrified of the tea-cups at Fairgrounds.:o

When I was little, I wasn't strapped in properly and almost came off of them. Have had a fear of them ever since.:o
