Best way to get the Iphone 4S?

I am lost with regards what you are saying when you typed "And you can use the handset on giffgaff (O2): 75.20+24*(32-10)=£603. BTW, it's the same as borrowing £499-£75.20 for 24 months at 24.4% APR.".
£75.20+24*(£32-£10)=£603 is what you pay O2 for the handset assuming that the airtime costs the same £10 as at giffgaff.
In this case, from your point of view, you pay £75.20 upfront for the handset and then take £499-£75.20=£423.80 'loan' that you 'repay' in 24x£22 monthly payments, i.e. £528 in total. The APR for this 'loan' is 24.4%
Comparing the total costs over 24 months like you did is more clear.0 -
I admit that my way of comparing was not very clear.

Thanks! I have to lay the thing out in simple terms to be able to understand it - nothing wrong with your comparing!
I would be better with Gg in the sense that I would have unlimited web usage because I was reading on Mse that 500Mb is not enough for the iphone 4s when used with O2 although 500Mb is enough with other mobile phone providers.
I must check how many minutes I use on a monthly basis though. I have to nip out shortly but should be back in an hour or so and I will check my usage then!0 -

I remember posting a deal exclusive to the Police in here a while ago for the Iphone 4s but I decided against it as it was only 250 txts per month, however I had an email yesterday at work with an improved offer for the Iphone 4s. This is:
450 Mins
Unlimited Txts
750mb Internet
Unl Orange 2 Orange calls or Landline
Free Voicemail
Warranty
Handset charge is £29 and monthly charge is £30.
I think I am going to order this deal today as it now has the Unlimited txt messages!0 -
Can anyone get that deal matt1987, or is that just exclusive to the Police?0
-
and is it exclusive to a particular force, or is it available using Orange Perks?
Cheers0 -
Is "exclusive to the Police" not perfectly clear?0

Well I am assuming you have to work for an emergency service as when I rang she asked me if I was Police or NHS staff!!
Needless to say I went through with the deal but have to wait up to two weeks due to stock shortages!0 -
Out of interest did this ever get sorted for you?
I have the Galaxy S2 and the battery life is awful. Ive had the handset reset and been given a brand new replacement but still having the same issue. I got it from Carphone Warehouse and I asked if I could get another handset completely changing brand but he said its quite unlikely. When I was with Orange after 3 faulty handsets they would give you a different handset but seems not the case. How do I go about finding out the warantee for my handset as only got it in January this year on 24month contract. Any help be very useful!
Many thanks! Thanks for letting me know that the Samsung has 24 months warranty! Certainly given me food for thought! I dont really want a phone thats going to have to go in for repairs all the while, and dont get me started on the battery life of the Galaxy S. My battery now lasts for half a day.
Tesco certainly do seem to be the best around! That is a really good deal for a 12 month contract!!
Thanks!0 -
