    wow my computer really is much faster......thank you "closed" you are a genius.

    my logitech camera is not working on skype ......maybe we shouls leave that for another day......lol
    it was working earlier in the week but yesterday it would not come on but skype was working :(

    do you use any of this

    C:\Program Files\Virgin Broadband Wireless\AffinegyService.exe

    C:\Program Files\WinPcap\rpcapd.exe

    disable these services

    O23 - Service: Google Update Service (gupdate) (gupdate) - Google Inc. - C:\Program Files\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe
    O23 - Service: Google Update Service (gupdatem) (gupdatem) - Google Inc. - C:\Program Files\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe

    go into c:\windows\tasks and delete the google update task
    !!

    the first three i dont use the first
    the second one i have virginmedia wireless router
    the winpcap i dont know what it is.

    the second lot - 023...how do i disable them will i go into hijack this to deleter them ?

    uninstall this http://www.abbyy.com/finereader_sprint/ if you aren't going to use it.

    google update task, yes windows explorer via my computer

    if there are any google update services left running after a reboot, disable them by going into services.msc

    how does the machine connect to the router, wirelessly?

    yes we have a wireless router.with Virgin media

    have uninstalled the abbyy.com one but don know how to do the other 2 ! have tried
