The proof itself. He hasn't sent it yet... or was you being sarcastic?0 -

It's no great brain teaser.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Eugh I really feel for you. I've received a similar text before saying my ex-partner was expecting a baby with someone else and it was absolutely terrifying and I felt physically sick. You will get through it. Wishing you the best of luck.0

Just to add - he was expecting a baby with her. It wasn't come kind of wind up. So in that case it was true
But I have also been on the other side of it - where someone has accused me of having an affair with their boyfriend and it was 100% not true. So people can get things wrong, but thats seems to be a rarity.
Gawd I sound like I belong on Jeremy Kyle.
Good luck hun in sorting this out. You can do a million times better!0 -

My main concern is that you don't know how acrimonious things are in the other marriage, and the other bloke may be out to cause as much hurt as possible. So although the information is important to you, I would take anything that isn't 100% proven with a pinch of salt.0

See a solicitor ASAP.
Copy all relevant documents & hide them.
Squirrel away as much cash as you can in case you need to get out.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Please be sure before you wade in here.... the man COULD be lying or his wife could have plucked a name from somewhere (other employee where your OH works?) , setting your OH up for his own reasons, or have some proof of a 'text relationship' which hasn't actually happened 'in person' as such.
I'm reminded of the woman who phoned my mother to say she was having an affair with mum's husband...who had been dead 20 odd years!
I'd be back on that phone straight away and stay there till I got an answer! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The man who sent you the note is also a victim, he could be hurting and wants you to hurt too.
Be on your guard, make sure you have all the evidence you need and do some detective work yourself, the man may have some of it wrong.
Could you access your OH online mobile phone bill? It would be a good place to start.
Get a solicitors appointment, and take copies of the documentation the other posters have mentioned. You must try and be one step ahead of your OH, difficult if you are upset and hurting, you have the little ones and yourself to think of.0 -
