Congratulations DH you have come such a distance in just 8 days! Bet you can't believe how much you have achieved in such a short time and I bet your OH can't believe it either! :rotfl:
This thread has shown how helpful and resourceful MSE can be (including the doubters who thought the thread was a wind up). So now it is onward and upward for you DH, there are still a number of hurdles to get over but you now at least have a more positive attitude about what you are doing and what you want to achieve for you and your kids. Well done! :T

can i just ask, who told you he can't take it out of the mortgage? If it was him i'd check for yourself if this is true, he might have found this thread or cottoned on to what you might be trying to do and is throwing you off the scent and making you feel secure when you're not. If it was his mortgage advisor, again a pinch of salt as he might have told the guy to tell you that. If it was the actual mortgage company then cool, you know they won't lie to you.

    Good luck.

To be honest, since the mortgage is in his sole name, neither the mortgage advisor, nor the lender, should be talking to OP. Data Protection Act, and all that...

DH you've been very quiet, hope you're ok. Come back if you need us again!
  • Hi all, nothing much to say, he's been away so things have been nice and quiet around here. I have the kids off - another inset day. They're going off to their grand parents today for the night so I'm off on a ghost walk tonight with mum. Trying really hard to study for my theory, it's the hazzard part that keeps getting me.

I was ment to be meeting other person last night but I decided that it would only make me more bitter so there is no point, I have to look forward not back.

It was him that told me about the mortgage.

Once again thanks for all your support

You will need to decide how you manage your parents-in-law, if any.

    Good choice.

It was him that told me about the mortgage.

    Not to be believed, then.

Once again thanks for all your support

Nothing wrong with feeling bitter for a little while.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

You will be up and down for a while, that's normal. In the meantime.... you could always treat yourself to some new clothes ;)
