Hi ya
What did you decide as I have now got three refusals from L/W. 1 for extra care advantage payments and 2 for differnt account late payment charges.
I am going to appeal and I am currently looking for a template some where. Basicly all thess charges clear my accounts and gives me a bit extra in my pocket.
I cant believe FOS cant help us.
I just asked for my charges back, and i got them. But that was last year, and i think they later realised that the FOS could not do anything about it.
I have still filed to the FOS on behalf of my friends. Court action will follow, although it will probable be wrongly stayed, and the catalogues know that.0 -
Hi did you send a £10 cheque to them? I'm still mixed up whether to send cheque to catalogue themselves or data protection agency.I have sent a letter to Look Again catalogue (same people as Grattan & Freemans) asking for a list of charges for the last 6 years. They have sent me 2 years of statements and this response:
'Please be advised that we do not, and are not required , to keep statements on file for six years. The Data Protection Act (principle 5) states "Personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or purposes" We do, however, send our customers statements every month, and they may keep them as long as they wish'.
Is this right? Can they do this?
I thought they had to keep details of accounts for at least 6 years. I didn't actually ask them for copy statements but for a list of charges.0 -
Hi do we claim for administration charges aswell as late payment fee charges?0

I have just emailed the catalogues asking for a copy of late, service and administration charges over the last six years that I've paid, will try this first and then go on to sending Data template letters next if this dosn't work. Will let you know what happens from each catalogue.0

I have sent an SAR to littlewoods (frederickson and Bryan Carter are dealing with mine) after I asked for the charges they wrote to me saying my account was opened before they were part of any complaints gropu so the FO will not be able to help. I think it looks like after you have asked for charges its straight to court.
