can i claim the admin fee from catalogues

I have sent a letter asking them to repay £446.50 + interest in admin charges (can't believe it came to so much - must be more careful!). I got a letter today saying about the OFT guidelines and that they will credit my account with £5.50 as a gesture of goodwill! This amount reflects any charges made over £12 from May 2006 when the guidelines were put in place.
As this is a catalogue rather bank/credit card reclaim am | able to pursue the balance?

Hi,
What was the original amounts they were charging you, their terms now show £12.00 for a late payment.
I would refuse the offer "£5.50" and send the second letter
in the step by step guides above and edit it to suit your needs.0 -
Before the £12 charge came in I was charged anything from £25.00 down to £17.50. I will send the next letter. Thanks for your help!Lloyds (Bank a/c) £2101.76 :jCapital One claiming £933.17 inc interest Halifax Card claiming £1143.75 inc. interest - £450 accepted as part payment only

Hello Everybody
I was just wandering if the same rules apply to cata;logues as ace have charged me a ridiculous amount of charges and admin fees can somebody tell if i can reclaim these and if so whats the best ways of going about it0 -
Hello
Hopefully I'm asking in the right place. I've just been charged a £20 admin fee on a £10 balance - can I refuse to pay it on the grounds it's excessive or do I need to pay it then attempt to get it back ?
Thanks0 -
hello, does any one know if it is possible to reclaim charges from catalogues. i have an account with one and the only thing i owe on my account is late payment charges is there any way around this?0

Hi there.
I am currently trying to get charges from three catologues. You need to send them the charges letter to ask for all your statements. It is pretty much the same as credit cards. You will need to send a cheque for £10. You may find they owe you.
Good luckMAD EBAY CHALLENGE #5 25 ITEMS =£70.15/£20000 -
I've recieved a reply requarding my charges on my kays account after their "full" investigation. they have only listed that 5 x £12 admin charges have been put onto my account but the last order i made was beginning of June 07 and my balance was 320.00 and now its £477.63 so they have missed out nearly £100 in charges for the £60 they have found that they are fair and resonable because i haven't made any payments on my account since that time due to being out of work but i have made them aware of my situation on several occasions aswell as asking them to freeze interest and charges but have never replied. and now there not prepared to remove an charges from my account.
what is the best thing for me to do now is it worth pushing or not, they have told me and given details of the FOS if i'm not happy with the investigation but i don't know whether it would be worth it

Just got all my statements from two accounts (lx direct and littlewoods). There is over £200 in late charges and over £400 in PPi(i worked self employed and less than 16hours so mis sold) with littlewoods and LX have got over £200 in late payments.
It only took two weeks for them to deliver statements.
Dont know what my chances are but will keep you all postedMAD EBAY CHALLENGE #5 25 ITEMS =£70.15/£20000 -
Littlewoods paid me without a fight, but they have been a real pain to my friends.
The problem is, they have only been regulated by the FOS on charges since 6th april 2007, so they use this to their advantage, and say that the FOS cannot help.
I have still submitted my friends claims to the FOS, and will take any claim outside their juristiction to the courts if necessary.0
