  • I have been trying since April to claim back about £400 late/overdrawn etc charges from Littlewoods, what a waste of waiting that has been....yesterday I receive a letter, saying yeah Ok we charged this amount but you aren't getting then back, and our charges are fair!!!...£15 because I only paid £60 instead of £90 one month, £15 for a computer generated letter...I don't think so.....I will see if I have any money left after Christmas..Lol...and take them to court, if not the FO I thinks....what a cheek, not even offending something back.....I just received £1500 from Sainsbury Bank.....which was a good company to deal with, as for Littlewood's, its only a small amount, but their
aptitude sinks, they even had the cheek to enclose a copy of my statements, which I PAID £10 to receive previouly....grrrrrrrr......Lol.....Lilly May......
  • i need more advice re NDR (part of littlewoods)

i had an agreement with them for £45 a month, in september they levied a charge on my account for being "an evasive debtor"

this is because i REFUSE to let them have a contact number for me, when i did they were ringing me all the time reminding me that payment was due etc and when i asked them NOT to ring weekends they would call.

anyway they have charged me this again, i did think about giving them an old mobile no that i no longer use, which they did have but soon they sussed that it was never answered

my son was in hospital, i did advise them of this and i forgot to ring them on the day the payment was due this month, with him off school xmas etc i honestly forgot, then i got the evasive debtor thing.
i rang them today they asked for 2 months payments i said no, i would pay one then ring up when payment is due and pay that

they have also said that they will set up no futher arrangements for me, to be honest i think i might be better off when the current arrangement ends to ask them to refer to debt collection agency as i am fed up with all the charges they keep adding.

is it legal for them to charge me for not having a contact number?
i am soo fed up with them i just want it paid off and all these charges are adding to it not reducing it

any ideas please???

I'm after some help and advice. I have paid more than £200 in admin charges to Studio Catalogue for late payments (£20 a time). Can I claim these charges back? If so do I use the same letters as claiming charges from the bank.

  • Hiya can anyone help, got few catalogues, owing about £4000-£5000!! Been paying these off for about 3-4 years. Can someone please tell me how to claim my money back from late payment fees etc, sick of having no money each week as it seems to go on paying these back, learnt my mistake and want to get rid of them. Also went back work too early from maternity, law came in on 1st April 2007 that you could get 9 months off with smp pay, i got in touch with head office at work and they told me that i only had 6 months as i finished work on the 31st March 2007. i went back to work on the 2nd Oct 2007 believing this was when my maternity finished, got a letter this week stating i owe work £947.07 due to returning early, they are taking £72.74 out my wages each week for 13 weeks, i only work 16 hours, so i am left with £13 a week wages!! Can i do anything. i phoned smp and jobcentre up when i returned to work , when i realised i was getting too much in my wages, then told my i was entitled to it. Why did head office at work not get in touch with me, i would have gone back on maternity, please someone help!!!
  • I had a littlewoods store card with a balance of just £17 on it.Through moving house and all the confusion that took i wrongly assumed id paid the bill and as i rarely used it left it at that.In july 2006 i received a letter from a nasty debt collection agency called cap quest, demanding £59-66 from me in 10 days or face court.i immediately contacted them and offered to pay the £17 in full. They refused this offer and said all or nothing.I went to the CAB who negotiated a monthly payment of £2-37 per month which ive adhered to.I have a balance of around £9 left and am unfortunately now back on JSA.Is there any way i can claim anything back before i finsih paying the whole bill or do i have to wait until ive paid everything.phoning capquests 0870 number doesnt half charge as well and they refused point blank to give me another cheaper number.Grateful for some advice here because the way cap quest/littlewoods have been id love to get some of my money back due to a small oversight on my behalf which i was willing to immediately correct.

    Can anyone help me please?
