i know if your claiming back bank charges you can quote the s s a act 1992 but does anyone know what we can quote for claiming back catalogue admin charges ? any help please

Simple common law, just like with credit cards. Charges must = costs. If not, then they are a penalty and therefore unlawful. The UTCCR will void any terms & conditions that permit a penalty charge.

thanks for that i have had them take off the item that was lost and never turned up its just the fact that there are loads of charges cause i would not pay for the item i had not had ...they had it signed for thats the best thing and by someone who dont even live in our area but they said was my address :mad:

late payment fees and admin charges from littlewoods.but i have not been up to date with payments so have passed account to NDR for recoverey of money. so littlewoods wont help me to tell me how to claim back charges.they say i have to ring ndr. does anyone know if your account gets passed over can you still claim back the charges.

You have to send £10 to littlewoods and request all your statements. They have 40 days to respond. Work out your charges, and request them back from Littlewoods. The fact it has been passed over to NDR makes no difference. If you get no joy, its the FOS, then court. Littlewoods claim that the FOS as no jursitiction over them, as they only recently joined. You will have to check that.

NDR is part of littlewoods. Neither will tell you how to claim, that is what this site is for.

I'm sure I'm in the wrong place but I've searched the whole site and can't find the details I'm looking for! I'm positive I read that catalogue charges (Littlewoods, etc) can be reclaimed? My Niece was recently charged £12 for a phone call to tell her she was being charged a £10 administration charge for late payment! Can anyone point me in the direction of advice or template letter? Thank you in advance.

Hi just wondering if any one knows if catalog late payment charges are unlawful. Some only charge £5 but la Redoute charge £15!!!!!

Yes they are also unlawful. The charge must = their costs. Late payment does not cost them £15 or eve £5..
