I have today received a letter from Choice for You catalogue to say that they are unable to provide the info as I am sent a statement every 28 days.
Shall I report them to IC?0 -

Yes difinately, I am waiting for my account number from them as I paid the account off some time ago and never used it again and I threw all my statements away. I'll let you know how I go on.
Has anybody got a additions account because I have noticed that you used to be able to get previous statements off the website but now thay have changed it so you can't.0 -

Yes I would. They still have to provide you with the information regardless of whether they send you statements each month.0 -
I have reported to the IC online. Typical I have since had a call from the Directors Office at Bolton for Choice Catalogue (who also cover 12 other big catalogues I wa informed) to tell me that the letter was sent incorrectly and that they are now going to send me a form to fill in for me to send a new cheque (they cant find the original so I need to stop it) and then they will provide me with the charge info within 40 days.
How stupid am I going to look now having to contact the IC and tell them to stop complaint just hours after lodging it?0 -

When you contact the IC explain what the company has said to you and ask their advice on whether to stop the complaint or not.
When they said you sent the letter incorrectly what do they mean. Surely there is only one way of asking for copies of statements?
Also they have lost your cheque!
See what the IC say first.0 -

Has anyone had any experience of reclaiming charges from catalogues rather than a bank? Has anyone been successful?
I only owe about £290, but i'm sure I have charges over that amount, so if successful I could, hopefully, get rid of that debt.
Should I just use the standard letter, but amend it a little bit or does anyone have any info on how to approach a catalogue company? If I can do this one, I might try studio too, I have only had a few charges with them, but they were huge each time!0 -
ignore, found an address in Bolton0

Just got the statements through, they took the £10 cheque i sent of our account balance lol so we got the statements for free.
On the statement, the Administration charge is clear, there is a service charge also, but thats for the interest isnt it,so i don't count that in do i?0
