They have to comply with the law. Your request for statements/info is a request made under the Data Protection Act. If they ignore this, they are breaching your rights under this law. You can report them and/or take them to court for this.

If you have charges (late payments etc), and they ignore your requests to repay these. Take them to court. They won't be able to ignore a court judgement if they don't defend their position.

  • Hi I have sent a statement request to choice for you but I sent the letter to shop direct financial services as there address was the only one I could find on the letter I had. They deal with the credit on accounts too.

    The address I used was:
    Shop Direct Financial Services
    Aintree Innovation Centre
    Park Lane
    Netherton
    Bootle
    L30 1SL

I only sent it on Saturday though so dont know if it is the correct address but hopefully they wll pass it on.

    Hi,

My god I must have been charged loads of late payment fees over the years...I want to claim them back..Do you have to request 6 years worth of statements or can I just write to them asking for them to be repaid because they should have all my charges on file shouldn't they?

  • They certainly will have all your charges on file but you still have to do the DPA request and total them up as this will form your defence should you take them to court.

  • It appears that Halifax will accept a phone call for a SAR request.

I have absolutely no idea, Google Studio and check on "contact us"

  • Hi

Just a quick question, do you still need to send off a tenner when requesting statements from a catalogue company?

    Thanks
