Kimmie, glad you posted that, just received a STUDIO catalogue through the door and it reminded me a few years ago they were ALWAYS hitting me with charges (my fault of course cos you couldnt pay online - laziness in getting cheques to them on time). Was thinking about sending the SAR to them and your post has just made up my mind for me !!
  • Hi!
I'm new to all this so forgive me if I'm not in the right place to pose this question!
I have an account with Studio Cards catalogue & I wondered if I could reclaim late payment charges from them?
If anyone knows if this is acceptable, please let me know!
Have just sent my first letter to Lloyds bank to reclaim £1154 and I am in the process of reclaiming charges from Lloyds credit card!

I am keeping everything crossed that this process runs smoothly!

Hoping someone can help!! My mum was telling me today that she has finally paid off her catalogue account. It has been long and drawn out and has taken several years for two main reasons, mum struggling to even make her minimum payment and customers of her account not making their payments. Anyway straight to the point. For each of the late payments she was charged £15 which obvoiusly in turn made the debt worse. £15 seem too much for a letter. Are these charges unlawful? Would there be any way she could claim back the charges?

    Thanks in advance

    Rebecca

P.S sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. Did a search and couldn't think of a more suitable place.

Has anyone got a sample letter to claim back the catalogue admin charges?

    Thanks

P.s do you need to have a record of all charges? I don't think my mum will have kept them all.

    Yes that would be helpful.
