After sending just one letter to STUDIO to request my administration charges back, I received a lovely letter this morning to tell me my request has been granted! i claimed back £100 which has cleared my balance and also £15 in vouchers too! Easiest claim yet! took less than a week! Bonus!
Thanx to everyone on this forum for giving tips on how to reclaim!
I am very grateful! :beer:0 -
hiya, all I did was used the 1st letter template from this site and they wrote back really quickly to say my account balance has been cleared and also with £15 vouchers to cover the difference. i just assumed it would have been that easy for everyone else. i suggest you move onto the next letter and threaten court action, then I think they will crumble.

I would like help with Littlewoods. I'm still trying to get statements; I've had back to 2001, but asked for prior to that. They haven't come up with Certificate of destruction to prove they haven't got them. Contemplating ico but wondered if anyone out there has had trouble with this lot?0

I think it's illegal to destroy any financial/legal documents in the 6 years period (I think they have to store them longer than that anyway!)
I would email them daily... send a complaint letter too.. they have to respond to that in 10 days otherwise they get fined a couple of grand.
FO might help with finding your data too.
Keep writing letters they are probably hoping you will give up... when I worked at a call centre (never again!) in the complaints department I was instructed to not to bother with the 1st letter of complaint just send the normal cut & paste letter say no to what ever the complaint was but actually do something on the 2nd - sometimes to even ignore that too - which I really hated doing as if it's a genuine mistake or screw up by the company then it should just be sorted out!
Could try the Citizen Advice Bureau too as you are entitled to any data that concerns you. I did have to act on any complaints that was from the CAB or the complaintants letter gave a CAB reference number on!

Hey Penny. Is this still an active account with Littlewoods or an old settled account?0

Hi.
Sent DPA to Studio.
1 Week later received statements from Studio.
Sent Initial letter asking for refund with schedule.
1 Week later (yesterday) received letter back saying they will clear my account and send me cheque for the difference of £100.
Full claim settled in 3 weeks and with 2 letters!HBoS = £3700 won!
Capital one = £1500 won!
Studio = £200 won! :beer:0 -
Hi, been charged a few times by Studio costing £15.00 a time per admin charge. Whats more annoying is that they don't regularly send statements making us a month or more late with the payments. Although we only had a small amount of goods totalling £80, we have now paid in excess of this. Today sent off SAR asking for details of transactions and charges and also for a copy of the credit agreement that they say they have sighned by us (already requested this ficticious document without luck!). Put a little note in there to say that it would be in all interests to clear the account and refund us in pound sterling the difference - hoping for a quick outcome!! Any help and advice would be gratefully appreciated, thanks :rolleyes:0

I am trying to recover £20 from a catalogue company. Does anyone know if such claims are time-barred?0

Well, after sending my letter requesting my 'fees' back I received a letter (within the two weeks I gave them) saying 'thank you for your letter, we take your complaints very seriously, we are looking into it, and will be in touch'!!!...now do I write the next letter saying 'next stop court if you don't make me a offer now!!!...lol, or do I just wait.....?...I'm not very good at that.Lol...any suggestions?...Lilly

you can claim up to 6 years only.
Lillymay:
when did you send the letter? Did you give them a time limit ie: you have two weeks to reply?
I would say leave 3 weeks from your first letter until sending the LBA (letter before action) and give a time limit on that one ie: 7 days or 14 days.. which ever you want really.
Have you check the success stories or other posts on this thread to see if anyone has claimed from your catalogue to see if they had to start court proceedures or if they got a refund from more letters.
good luck
