I did read that you have to make sure that you put Credit Card Charges reclaim on the MCOL as your title or description or it will have a stay put on as they don't always know what it is for.

This was a judge who added the stay to the Credit Card - he knew that it was a Credit Card and not a Bank account type.
let's hope he was in a grumpy mood! and it's not all judges! :o

  • hi,
received a letter from AW yesterday, saying there gonna refund me the amount i requested - £165.50, letter says its a goodwill gesture.

Checked my online account today, the refund has come off my outstanding balance, but my credit limit has also disappeared.

I phoned them and they told me because i disagreed with their credit fees, theyve taken my credit account off me, and i can only order items with a credit/debit card now!!

Well they can stuff that!!! As soon as i clear the outstanding balance, i shall be closing the account!!

can I ask how you got your refund?
How many letters did you send and did you start court proceedings?
I'm not getting anywhere from them... no response to my letters - only once saying no - and no response to emails!
I'm off to send the email again... I send I'm going to send it daily until I get a response.

They can only charge you £10 for the lot - check out the main bank charges bit.

I keep statements for 6 years and even the stuff that's closed for several years after too... I only started doing this about 7 years ago and for certain stuff but I will be doing this now for everything.
I have friends who throw their statements away after opening the envelope!
keep going... they are just trying to scare you as they assume you don't know anything or come to a site like this! :D
