Also, I have already sent them a letter telling them I will start court proceedings if they do not reply within 7 days and that was over 2 weeks ago so in the circumstances, should I just fill in a MCOL?
Thanks
Debbie
Soory for the delay Debbie, been making 18th birthday plans for my daughter.
I would send them one last email, and follow it up with a printed copy sent recorded, stating that as they have ignored your request then this is to inform them that if no reply is received within the next 7 days then MCOL will be entered. If you do not receive anything from them, then just go for it. I did not need to go that far and incur further costs, they paid up.
You could maybe follow up the email with a phone call if you can get through to the right person, but they will pay. Good luck.!!!!0 -

Has anyone had any success yet with Ambrose Wilson/ Simply Be?
I'm about to start the mycol stage - I sent a LBA via email and post but I have had no response at all!
The total I'm claiming for is £303.91 which includes interest - that means the fee for mycol is £50!
If anyone has got to the court stage or won with them can you let me know what you did and what happened.
When claiming through mycol do you add the interest to the total of the claim as there is a box that you tick that asks do you want to add interest - just thinking that it will bring the fee down to £30??? I doubt it but if anyone can confirm for me!

I did not need to get that far with simply be. I bombarded them with emails on a daily basis. Think they got fed up with me in the end. Just paid off my account - which was similar to the amount being claimed. Just keep pestering them -- i even told them in the email that I would continue sending this on a daily basis until it was dealt with satisfactorily. Worth a try!0

Can I ask if you sent one of the template letters from this site?
I'm rubbish at writing letters! Is it possible you can post or send me a copy of the email you sent (without your personal info obviously) then I could reword it - I think my emails tend to cheese people off - I have a knack for that!
I'm a bit skint now so I really don't want to spend £50 on mycol - especially as I've not heard of anyone going to court with simply be/ambrose so I have no idea what to expect... will try bombarding them with emails.
what email address did you use?
I've used this one - [EMAIL="general.enquiries@homeshoppingdirect.com"]general.enquiries@homeshoppingdirect.com[/EMAIL]
I tend to get an email back saying they have forwarded the mail and should hear back in five days - that was on the 6th August!
My account was closed a couple of years back so I would need a cheque sent
congrats on winning! and thanks for your feedbackLight bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -
Yes I used the same email address and Yes I also had the same email saying 5 days. From the service Resolution Team. That's cobblers, they drag their feet. Just update that same email you sent previously, but add that the 5 days expired on 11th August and you intend to send them this email constantly unless you receive a reply and in the meantime that you are submitting your claim with the Financial Ombudsman. Go through the motions with the FO in the meantime, you can always cancel it. Good Luck.0

I've put a note on the top saying I will be sending this daily and logging my claim with the FO (hasn't the FO stopped taking these type of cases until the banks test case???). but I am prepared to go to court.
Hopefully that will help.

Has anyone else had any trouble getting their previous statement details from Littlewoods.I requested all of mine since opening the account and they said only about 40 available to order and the rest were on microfiche archive so I couldn,t get copies.
My newer statement details started coming in the post a few days ago,I have had 19 so far,all in separate envelopes with business envelopes etc in along with them. What a waste of paper and time!!!
I feel a bit like bloomin Harry Potter in the first film when the letters just keep streaming through the letterbox.
I have also had a letter saying that they are dealing with my request and that there is a £3 charge per copy statement!!!I have 101 statements to get in total, are they seriously going to try to charge me over £300 for the pleasure?"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Thanks for that.
No don't think so - they are not current account charges and therefore should be treated seperately like a credit card claim so are seperate to OFT test case. Good luck and !!!!!! the pants off them! Keep me updated.0 -

well, Monument Credit Card are putting 'stays' on their claims - someone else on this site went to court last week!
Which is why I'm worried about this one!
