After looking through this thread and doing a search, I haven't found the info I need.
Can anyone help please?
I have just received my statements back from Littlewoods with a list of codes. I have found many admin charges (174G) but have also come across 168E and 176E. Whatever these charges are, they have been added to my account but these codes are not on the codes list they sent (typical).
Does anyone here know what these codes stand for?
Thanx in advance

Me again!! Lol.
I have also found various amounts added with the code 'EXC'. These amount to over £50 so I don't want to miss out if I'm entitled to them.
Or maybe I should add all charges, I suppose they will soon tell me if I am not entitled to certain codes. What do you reckon?

I requested £95 off Littlewoods, and was today offered £60, which i accept.
I am now claiming from Marshall Ward for a friend (still littlewoods).
I used the same templates to claim, but was claiming for late payment, insufficient payment, over limit and returned cheque charges.0 -
I asked Simply Be for a list of charges but I have heard nothing and that was a month ago! They cashed the cheque soon after receiving the cheque - nice of them  !
I sent them an email last week.. got the standard 'we will reply in 5 days'... still waiting - do you think I should just send the 2nd letter asking for the charges I've counted up instead? From this thread it looks like they don't respond to letters anyway and certainly not the list of charges one!

They were not the easiest to get details from. They sent my statements and an offer of £1. I calculated charges of £300 and my husband £250. They said no. Emailed and sent next letter saying going to FO. They then sent an offer letter through their solicitors offering to pay outstanding balances on both accounts. Accepted as not far short. So keep going.!!!!0 -
Hi, Does anyone know the address for Freemans to get last 6 years statements? Also is this the address I need to send letters to?
Thanks xx0 -
Hi,
Please can someone help me? Sorry to appear stupid if I do but I am going to claim back my charges from my catalogue, Ive used Martins template letter, do I change the wording to late payment charges? And will this include all admin charges too? Or do I need to ask for both late payment charges and admin charges?
Cheers0 -

I have searched several threads and it appears that admin and /or letter charges are not included .
M & S charge responded promptly with amount of charges listed .These amount to approx £180. This is over and above interest and nowhere do they have a 'late payment fee' but they do charge for the letter telling me that payment is "late"
All are classed as ' letter charge' Will this be classed as a legit. admin charge and therfore not claimable or do you think I claim it as unlawful and excessive???0 -

Wiggynut, thats the opposite of the dealings i had getting my statements, it was relatively easy! Maybe they've got so many requests now they are snowed under.
Try using this email address (if you havent already). I had emails back saying they will reply in 24 hours not 5 days so i think u r using a different email address:

As the template letter say, under the Data Protection Act 1998 the maximum they can charge is £10. This is because you are not really asking for the statements but a list of charges and if they can only provide that by sending the statements, its not your fault
If they can't do this without charging £5 each then inform the Information Commissioner at www.ico.gov.uk
You may want to just go straight for that and you'll have the statements within 2 weeksGot It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0
