Emailed Studio at the beginning of June for a list of all cahrges put on my account, received them less than a week later. Sent them a letter asking for the money back and received a letter a few days later saying that a cheque would be sent within 7-10 days. Received it yesterday. All in all it took less than 3 weeks. :T :T

I received the statements off Ambrose Wilson today and Simply Be yesterday, so I totted up what admin fees there are on them and its about £200 on each. I have written off to ask for the money today so they have got 2 weeks to reply now. I will have to wait now to see what replies I get. JD Willams have sent nothing yet so I am still waiting at the moment as far as they are concerned.

;) Hello....I wrote to Littlewoods asking for statements on the 27th April, after 50 odd days, I hadn't heard anything, although they had cashed my cheque and put it on my outstanding account and then on the same account/day charged me £5 admi charges!!!!! anyway, after 56 days I wrote the second letter, giving them 7 days to response or I would report them to the IC....today, (some 16 days later) I received a letter with their 'sincere apologies for the delay, it appears the letter was misdirected and was only received in their office on 28th June 2007'....but they are dealing with it now....what a joke these people are with their...delay tactics....two months for the big Company to redirct it to the right office, I don't think so.....I suppose I should wait 7 days, but after that I will be reporting them to IC....I will being aiming to get every last penny from this company....so if anyone wants th RIGHT address for Littlewoods it is:

    Littlewoods Shop Direct Group,
    Data Protection Unit,
    Complaints Managment Team,
    Park Lane Liverpool,
L72 1LQ..........................I might add that I did actually send it to the complaints dept in the first place, so what is their excuse really??????......Lilly

Take them to court via MCOL, i got that nasty letter when claiming from Simply Be..assume it would be same template as its the same company?
Anyways, they hacked me off so much that i claimed through MCOL there and then, after issuing the claim they acknowledged it very quickly and i had a cheque within about 3 weeks with a letter stating the usual rubbish. They filed a defence after they had settled in full, not sure why?!
    I claimed £181, Good luck

Thanx will give it a go, was worried they would close my account and ask for all the balance paying.

    hi, i wrote to littlewoods requesting my statements, instead they sent me a list of all the charges since 03/11/01 to 1/10/05, which totals about £150, at the bottom of the letter it says;

"It is made clear in the "your account" section at the back of your catalogue that a charge is applied should you fail to make a payment and as such i am satisfied that the charges applied to your account are fair and reasonable. We are aware of the statement of the OFT's position regarding fair charges, for the reasons given above we are satisfied the charges applied to your account are justifiable in accordance with the views of the OFT and are fair within the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations. In the circumstances the company is not prepared to remove any charges applied to your account.

As your account is in relation to a credit agreement that was sold before 06/04/07 you are unable to refer your complaint to the financial ombudsman service as we were not a member of a dispute resolution service until this date. I should advise you that if you do decide to refer to the FOS it is unlikely that they will consider your complaint. This is our final response.

they put that i didnt pay there is only one time i didnt pay that i can see on their statement, the other times are for letters or insufficient payments received
    Any idea's please?
    thankyou in advance

Ignore the letter, they all fob you off and say they won't refund charges etc. Send your charges requests letter stick to the timescales outlined in Martins article and good luck :)

  • Hi all,

After looking through this thread and doing a search, I haven't found the info I need.

    Can anyone help please?

I have just received my statements back from Littlewoods with a list of codes. I have found many admin charges (174G) but have also come across 168E and 176E. Whatever these charges are, they have been added to my account but these codes are not on the codes list they sent (typical ).

Does anyone here know what these codes stand for?

    Thanx in advance

    Puss x
