I sent an email to additions last thursday requesting my statements since i opened my account to claim back my charges, and i got the below response. Also there return email states that they will get back to you in no more than 24 hours and it has been 5 days!

    Dear Miss May,
Thank you for your email requesting a list of all default charges added
to your account since you opened it.
Please accept my apologies, but as statements are sent to you every 28
days, we only keep six months statements on record at any one time. You
will therefore need to check the statements we have already sent to you.

I am sorry that I cannot be of any further help on this occasion.
    Kind regards,

Is there anything i can do about this? surely they should keep an account of my transactions? Is this correct?
  • Hi, Simply Be have just sent me the statements that I have asked for (nothing yet from JD Williams or Ambrose Wilson) and I am wondering if anyone can advise me on exactly what charges I can reclaim off them? Can I reclaim the Admin Charges, and are there any others I can reclaim at the same time?
    Thanks

    Hi

Can I claim from DELL Financial Services, am sure I had charges when my payments were late. Has anyone done this?

I am currently claiming from Fashion World, which I think is the same company as Simply Be. After getting my statements through its taken three letters before I got a reply, and what a reply!!! Two page letter telling me about the OFT ruling and why they don't have to abide by it, why it's all my fault in the first place and that they would pass me on to a collection agency because its obvious I have financial difficulties!!! I have just written a nasty letter back but will wait 'til I calm down before reading it again and sending it.
Any ideas what to do in this situation, they claim the court will rule in their favour and I think they might take it to court and defend.
    Hi
Did you ever get anywhere with this? I have paid loads of late charges to Fashion World, did you ever get yours back. If you claim do they make you pay your balance as cant afford to pay it all at once.

    Thanks

Take them to court via MCOL, i got that nasty letter when claiming from Simply Be..assume it would be same template as its the same company?
Anyways, they hacked me off so much that i claimed through MCOL there and then, after issuing the claim they acknowledged it very quickly and i had a cheque within about 3 weeks with a letter stating the usual rubbish. They filed a defence after they had settled in full, not sure why?!
    I claimed £181, Good luck

HI. yes had the same story from Naturally Close and Simply be. They will put up a fight, but threaten to take them to court or FO - usually works. They both paid up our balance on both accounts after their original offer of £1 each. Keep going!
  • Hi, Can I ask, was it the Administration charges that you claimed? Was there any other charges you also claimed back?

Also, how do I proceed now with this claim, is it exactly like the bank ones and using the same templates?

    Thanks
