    Hi
Understand charges for late payments and the like can be re-claimed from Mail Order Catalogue companies such as Kays and Marshall Ward.
Have not read many postings about people going for these or even more worryingly, any success stories!
Am I flogging a dead horse by attempting to get charges back off these companies or worth a punt??

Thanks for any input and apologies if posted in wrong place ! : )

You are more than entitled to you rmoney back from these companies, so give it a go !!

Ace Catalogue - can you reclaim the service charges as well as the admin charges?

    Thanks

    Kimmie,

Got n offer of £40 from Capital One, difference between the usual amounts. I havent even bothered replying as i requested £100 charges and £25interest, cheeky i know. I will be entering a claim against them at the end of June, (lack of funds else i wouldve done it immediately)

Still waiting on HSBC aswell, they are dragging it out way too much, ive had my court date August 14th, im sure i wont c them there though!

I got my statement through from Littlewoods today but I cannot make head nor tail of them as they are all coded.
Has anybody else had this problem or shed any light on them as I don't want to get it wrong.

Can I reclaim charges from this company?
Has anyone else claimed charges back from 'Simply Be' Catalogue?
I suppose it could be worth sending a letter and asking :p
I 'looked' after this catalogue account for a elderly friend and got charges despite not paying late! I paid these charges as I didn't want my friend to have these extra payments to make and add to her stress.
If anyone else has claimed from this company I would appreciate knowing how it went... I've done a search on this site but can't see anything.. but will check again in the 'success' forum.

How did you make sense of the info they sent, I don't understand the statements and what I can claim for. There are codes for everything

I too have a claim with simply be. The statements are a minefield.

But they do list the charges under admin fees usually or the likes of and are supposed to be limited to £12 now. However this was not always the case. I have some that started at £18 then went to £20 then down to £12. Sometimes they bundle several together so watch for this. If you see any wording that represents admin or charges and are multiples of £12 then thats definately it.

They are bums to deal with though and offered me a refund of £1 (I made it £266 and on the other account £320). I have forwarded my complaints to the FO,

    All the best.
