    Hi Shelly

I've just checked the email address I sent my enquiry to and it's the same address.

The first response said 24 hours then the 2nd email response was this one below! I guess they must be snowed under like you say... quick to cash the cheque though

    Thank you for your email.

We have passed your enquiry onto our Service Resolution Team who will
be in contact with you within the next 5 days.

Their opening hours are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00

I'm going to send the 2nd letter to them asking for the money back.. I do have most of the statements but I wanted to check the amount as I might have got it wrong! I might get a quicker response that way.
    Post that tomorrow!
    thanks :D

This is the same email I got from them. The statements followed but very slowly. Then the usual letter saying we have offered £1 refund on any charges between £12 and £20 after May 06. I told them where to go! Then told them I was referring it to the FO, and sent a recorded copy. They then in turn sent an offer to pay of the blance on both accounts.

    wow really! :T cool
That sounded really quick - Can I ask how long the whole process took?

My other claim is over 6 months now and I have more than a month for the court case - apparently they pay 4 days before the court date! Phew... can't wait til that's one is over with... a quick one would be fab! :D
    congrats:beer:

Hi i am in the process of claiming fees back from Ambrose Wilson and also Grattan, i've had my statements from both and sent the letters asking for the money on 3rd July stating that i looked forward to hearing from them within 14 days.

Tomorrow will be the 14th day, so if i havent heard from them shall i write another letter? I know with the postal strike the letter may be delayed, but how long realistically do i give them to reply?

    thanks

After I received the letter offering £1, I emailed them and sent the letter at the same time refusing and threatening FO/court. They then sent me a letter from their solicitors offering to pay off the balance on the accounts approx 2 weeks later. I had literally just filled out the forms for the FO, but did not get to post them. Good luck.

    Hi
Does anyone know the address to send Simply Be letters to
    I am using
    Simply Be
    Candid Collection Ltd
    53 Dale Street
    Manchester
    M60 6ES

I requested a copy of my statements as I am missing a couple of them but have not heard anything - they cashed the cheque though!!!
I've emailed a copy of the letter to them asking for the charges to be refunded - figured it might move them along a bit! and now need to post the hard copy via recorded delivery.

Can someone confirm that this is the correct address.. might look on their website (doh!) UPDATE: no address listed!

hi, i requested the fee details from ambrose wilson which is the same as simply be, naturally close and fashion world, and i didnt have to pay.

Just email them through the website, then when they dont reply, just ring up, it took them about 2 weeks to send me the details, and i havent paid a penny.

Also did the same with Grattan, and they sent the details free of charge, i just used the line "i lost all my statements, and im the sort of person who likes to keep everything so can i have a copy".

    Hope this helps

They did this to Kimmie, see below:

  • Can anyone help?
I sent asking for a refund of the administration fees that the catalogues took off me and I have just had a letter off Simply Be and Ambrose Wilson giving me a load of waffle and then telling me that I am not entitled to any fees back and they are not going to offer me any.

They say that the charges theat they made are justified and not a penalty. In addition, the level of charges applied are in accordance with the OFT guidance given in relation to credit cards.

What do I do now, can anyone advise please? Should I threaten to refer them to the FO like Kimmie? If so, is there a template letter to use?

    Thanks.
