Well the charges racked up on the simply be account and naturally close. £400 on one and £360 on the other. Sent them the next letter giving 14 days - lets see where this goes. Did you get an acknowledgement from this letter, or an offer of any kind?

  • As I am having a few troubles with my printer, I have just tried to email Ace and Littlewoods to request the statements or list of charges.

Has this method been successful for anyone else?

Does anyone know if this will work for any other companies?

Not for me  I emailed Argos and Egg and both replied saying send us £10 (Argos) and £5 (Egg) and we will send you a list of charges, worth a try though,

Worked for me with JD Williams and Studio Cards, sent emails rather than letters, Littlewoods have been pain in the butt, worte to them more than 50 days ago, sent them an email last week threatning them with IC, they say i will definitely receive them within 14 days...yeah right!

Try using the email option, it may work, it may not. For JD Williams this made the whole process very quick indeed...Good Luck

    Kimmie,

For Simply BE i skipped the whole LBA because i was fuming when i received the 'it all your own fault letter'...it was a moment of madness which luckily paid off, i would not advise anyone to do that though, follow Martins schedule and you'll be fine

OK. As they responded to my request via email, I took the chance of sending them copies of the charges and letters that I sent recorded via email also. That way they know they have it in two forms.

How are you getting on with the others??

Thats a result! E-mail is the way to go with them!

Only got my two HSBC claims running at the mo, they are a nightmare really, HSBC did everything at the last minute and i havent heard a peep off them or their solicitors! Grrrr:mad:

I might give the solicitors a ring tomorrow and test the water, it would look ok to the courts aswell trying to settle out of court before it gets to a court date, i feel like i havent communicated with them at all and that will look bad on the day...what do you think?

Oh and i forgot to say...the internal charge C for Simply Be is what i had for all of mine aswell.

hi has anybody claim of littlewoods yet because they are saying i cant have a refund
    thanks kat1234
  • I was dealing with a debt recovery company as a company passed my debt to them to recover it. I sent them payment for 110 quid for the goods - they expected me to pay 40 quid in charges. I told them I was invoiced for 4 deliveries but only recieved 3 - the 110 quid was for 4 deliveries and I still paid this. I said the difference would be my payment for there charges they levied to my account. I received a letter saying I owed them money for the charges.

I then had a brainwave - send them the similar letter that we used for bank charges but I re-worded it a little different and I havent heard anything since. This was around January so it can work.

Well lets wait and see what the Simply Be and Naturally Close come back with. I am not expecting this to be easy - I suspect it will go all the way.

Cap1 really p****d meoff though. Told hubbie partial refund of £322 would be on card 17th. Today got letter saying sign letter accepting this as whole of claim or else. So have sent another letter - telling them where to shove it!!!!

Would love to get hold of an email for them too.....Any ideas????????

Sounds to me like HSBS have no defense, other you would have heard earlier. Maybe an offer is in the pipeline? Lets hope eh?????
