  • I have received my statements today from Choice who come under the Littlewoods Group umbrella and I am sending off my 1st letter today to get £100 worth of charges back.

Has anyone been successful with them and how did they deal with you?

    Many thanks

Is it possible to reclaim charges from JD Williams for late payments? they absalutly pepperd me with charges over the last six yrs. i dont have an account with them now.

    Hi,

Yes they will just work like any other catalogue company - just write to them and request the charges or if you already have copies of all your statements just go straight to the first letter requesting your money back.

    Good luck :D
  • Cheers "pigsmightfly" i will look for my customer number.

I requested my statements from Littlewoods group and they sent me a form to fill in with silly questions like 'Why do I think they hold information on me?' and I have to get it signed by somebody who knows me but it can't be family, like an employer, did you have to fill one in?

Can they even do that? It's within your rights to request information they might hold about you so you shouldn't have to fill in a form.

Has your account been closed for a few years?

This is good news, thanks. Freemans charged me a couple of years ago so much that I couldn't repay quickly enough. Then I got a CCJ, partly because I didn't realise it was going to get that serious, and I had too many other bills etc etc. I am still paying the balance on the CCF and late payment fees, so I will try and claim back the late payment charges which would help!!

This has been very interesting reading, I think I'll be checking my Studio, Next and Great Universal statements tonight (I'm a magpie and keep all my stuff - what's really old has been scanned onto a disk!).

Studio and Next have charged me left, right and centre in the past!

My suggestion to all new claimants regarding Studio/Ace's tendancy to send vouchers is to put in all letters right from the start that you will not accept vouchers as a form of payment.
