Good luck with it.
I think I am just very picky, I've only met one guy recently and he seemed to have slipped under my 'weirdo' radar!! I don't tend to get chatting with anyone I don't feel could be potentially a partner, but then I do have a very busy life at the moment and while I would change that to make time for the right person, I don't want to cancel my nights out for people I don't have a real interest in.
I missed a good meal out with friends to meet the last bloke - I was gutted when he arrived and I knew staight away I'd misjudged him! My friends all had a nice meal at my favourite chinese restaurant, and I sat listening to weirdo-bloke telling me all about the benefits of branston baked beans over Asda's own.....0 -
Oh my Lord ..... he wasn't so much a keeper then ? lol
I just don't get how someone can differ so much from their pic. Do the majority of them use photoshop ?
I am pretty picky too. Not that i know what I would like, but I def know what I don't like.
Meeting someone this week who i would never have thought of before. Blonde and 5ft 9. Not my usual type, but then again my usual type hasn't worked in the past ... so here goes.
Good luck to you too and I am sure your knight in shining armour will fight his way through the twits in tinfoil, and arrive at your door soon

So I just got back from my date, went pretty well
We meet up at 2:30, so it was quite a long one! We had lunch for a couple of hours and then had to queue up for a couple of hours to get into a BBC recording of a comedy show. I was a bit nervous because I've never met him before so thats a lot of time to spend with someone you don't know but it was fine- wasn't any awkward silences or anything. We've already made plans to see each other later on in the week
Not sure theres a big spark there but its hard to tell after just one date, we certainly got on well though.
Knock me down I'll get right back up again, I'll come back stronger than a powered up Pac-Man0 -

I hope your date goes well, and remember that one of the rules of this thread is that you have to report back afterwards and tell us all how it went!!0 -
Coin Op Girl that's great!!
I'm so glad it went well. You may find that there's no big 'spark' initially, but that you just get on well and things just 'happen' like they do for people who meet through more conventional routes. Just take it as it comes and go with it. Good for you!!
Got any more lined up? I'm losing track on this thread...0 -
Someone else asked if I fancied going for a drink but I haven't got back to him yet. I think I'm going to say yes because he seems nice. Like a couple of other people mentioned I'm not a big fan of dating more than one person at a time so I do feel a little bit guilty about it, but its not like I'm actually dating this guy I saw tonight so I think I probably will agree to meet him.
How about you? got any more line up?Knock me down I'll get right back up again, I'll come back stronger than a powered up Pac-Man0 -
No, nothing on my horizon as usual.
I'm getting bored of it again now.0 -
Coin operated girl - no offense intended at all because you sound so very nice, but you do also also sound like something straight out of "The Little House on The Prairie". I'm guessing you're totally "gorgeous and don't know it" (well, know it but too shy to admit it) and frankly, I hate you. (jk)0

That's how I tend to see things....it's just too confusing having to remember names and details, knowing me I'd put my foot in it!Mortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30000 -
An update from me....the guy I really liked and had fixed to see again suddenly rang me and said he was confused and didn't know what he wanted. He then cancelled our date.
I thought I'd be gutted but actually I feel ok. Mr Right will be a bit more ... well, decisive I think! If he ever comes along!
Another date tonight with one I haven't met! Scary!0
