I've given myself a break from looking at dating sites because I'm not quite in the right frame of mind at the moment, however I did log in to Smooch today... read the below and quickly logged off...
Title: Married Man alert - Well you did say to be honest!
Hi *****,
I'm 41 and live near Liverpool. I think it would be something to get to know you as I find younger intelligent women so attractive. Not your cup of tea? Fine, I understand.
I'm no Mikael Blomkvist but I'd like to think I can string a few more words together than 'lol' 'gr8'. You might just enjoy the adventure?
Patrick

what a lovely message to get
And openly admitting he is married- thats just disgusting, and I feel sorry for the poor wife0 -
with POF on the search page it also shows roughly when they were last online (I think it shows within the last hour, today, the lasy 3 days, this week, the last 30 days and 30 days or longer).
I hate it when people add you as their favourite but they haven't sent a message, you dont know them and you havent made contact with them - I dont even want to think of why someone would do that...
Hi, its all been changed now, you cant see when they were last online unless you upgrade.
I notice when u get a msg from people saying 'want to meet you' happens every time I look in then log out, and half the time its not them doing it, its the site that generates it, its very weird.
I havent had any dates, its get near to arranging, then they either disappear, or dont log back in lol
Some read my profile as I get msgs commenting about my profile, but the majority just see my pics so they dont even bother reading my profile, or I just receive basic msg, ie 'hi sexy' 'hello' those type of msgs I never reply to.
I did join another one, but it seems to be a flirt site, lots of married or relationship people want to have fun which is not for me, so when I get some really racy msges from them and some are quite rude and suggestive, I didnt realise at first I could delete thier msg, so I would get quite angry at some of the remarks and reply back with cutting remarks, then I found they blocked me  they can give it, but cant take it lol
I have developed a thicker skin now, and omg its definately an education and it does toughen you up a bit.
I just advise everyone who has joined a site to go with an open mind and not everyone is as they seem, you will be disappointed many many times, but you will get some who will msg you nicely with no smut, innuendoes or blatently telling you what they want.
I have found some that started off being really nice an gentlemanly, an thought he seems okay, then a while later out comes the smut, its trial and error, and having a lot of patience lol0 -
Mmmm....it doesn't sound like many people are having much luck at the moment. So far since my online dating adventures started I've been on dates with 3 guys and they have all seemed like really nice guys, and gentlemanly. Unfourtanetly there's not always a spark, but I have a second date lined up with a guy I really liked on our first date so fingers crossed.
The first time I did online dating (years ago) I did find it downheartening not to get replies to emails, but now I just realised that I shouldn't be that bothered about it and to be honest I don't reply to everyone's emails either. I just take everything with a pinch of salt.Mortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30000 -

I spoke to another guy, we started to chat as I advised, his profile was a tad negative. We chatted for maybe three weeks, he then asked "when was he going to get into my panties!!!"
Next!
Chatted to another guy, who wasn't online much. He had a new business. Our first chat online was for about 2 and a half hours. After our first chat he would email maybe every three weeks (I didn't put my life on hold) He then went to emailing every day, he asked "Would you like to meet for a coffee Mary?"
My reply was "Off with his head" Who is Mary?
You guest it, it wasn't me........
Next!
Amanda, thank you for making me laugh this morning!0 -

Thats weird, across on the right opposite thier name where it says when they were last online, it doesnt show anything, it only says 'shows' so when you click on 'show' it then tells you to see this feature you have to upgrade.
Will need to have another look at that, as obviously something is not right.0 -
Well, made the descion to try and not look at any dating sites till this time next month
Try and get a break from it and rebuild some self confidence- and try and egt out and get some decent pictures take.
Start a sweep stake on dates by all means folk.
Recently had a really really nice conversation on POF with some who had the same breed of dag as my and my housemate, decided to just ask if she fancied takignt he dogs for a walk sometime. Surpirsingly I have heard from since that request. Did I do something wrong just askign if she would like to walk the dogs toegther?0 -

all depends on how long you had been chatting for!! if it had been for a couple of weeks then I cant see a problem0 -
