So folks, how's your dates gone tonight? Anyone going to any bonfires as a date?

Well, my date was nice but i just didn't fancy him. So frustrating.. We have lots in common, conversation flowed easily and there was nothing unattractive about him but I just feel completely indifferent about him!!

At least the conversation flowed. The worst ones are when you don't fancy them and the conversation doesn't flow and you're stuck there feeling bored all evening!

I think I come across as rather arrogant, and even though I don't mind that (because it is a true reflection of me in real life), people say that it's hot and really good but in truth they just cannot hold a conversation because they try to be like me and it doesn't work!

Like one person, they tried (and failed) last night by spending two hours thinking they were like me, and trying to match my conversation style. Then messaged me this morning asking for my contact details and I didn't even bother to reply. That may be because I'm comparing everything to my ex, who I'm still mad about and was the perfect partner for me until the break up (still think so!)

So Tuesday and my next date, and I'm pretty much indifferent about that too. I can't literally be bothered!

Can I be honest for a minute?

This ^^^ is why I'm not on dating sites. The amount of crap talked and the sheer oddness of some people is truly amazing to me, and something I don't mind one bit not being part of.

Thats why I've actually decided to give up on them all! I'm fed up of people who try and just fit themselves to be like me, if that makes sense. It's so so put on and I can see straight through it!

I've made one good friend as in the post above, but I don't see there being anyone of sound intelligent mind at all. They all seem to be people who are either a) desperate to meet up and sleep with you or b) desperate to be attached to someone. It's like emotional instability. I had a go for three weeks and that's enough for me.

I can't begin to imagine meeting someone who than tried to be me!! That would be very strange indeed.

For example, I was talking to said person last night and was being very random in my conversation. No hint of flirting just random ramblings from me about absolutely nothing of any relevance. And then they come out with 'wow your arrogance is hot'. And then proceeded to tell me how they too were just like me! But hungover so they couldn't be their true selves. Later on, I was told they'd 'hold my hand' if I was ever scared. An hour in! They are nothing like me because I'd never say that! Then I got a full description of what they like from a person etc, and then I just gave up. All my profile says was that I was interested in making friends, not dating!

Quickly decided I was bored of the randoms now and now I'm done with it. I think meeting people conventional ways is more suited to me!

It seems you completely misread the meaning of my post.

I meant people such as yourself, who talk such utter rubbish, are one of the main reasons I'm happily single and have no intentions of ever meeting someone though such a contrived means as a dating website.

Your arrogance is not "hot", it just makes you sound as though you're 13 years old.

You sound like the date from hell......Surely you should get over your ex before even thinking of having dates
