I do not percieve it to be hot or anything, I'm just generally myself. That's some other persons perception of me, which I think is ridiculous after a few minutes of talking to someone. And my profile does say that it's friendship only...not one night stands, dates or falling in love!
That's being honest...and I don't have dates. I would meet someone to talk and be friends and if it developed into something more over time that would've been nice, but from the people on these websites I don't feel that will ever happen. Hence leaving them! I was supposed to meet someone and as soon as I found out today they thought it was a date I was honest and said I wasn't looking for that and cancelled.0 -

It seems you completely misread the meaning of my post.
I meant people such as yourself, who talk such utter rubbish, are one of the main reasons I'm happily single and have no intentions of ever meeting someone though such a contrived means as a dating website.
Your arrogance is not "hot", it just makes you sound as though you're 13 years old.
So arrogant in fact that she did not even realise you were on about her! :rotfl:0 -

You're jumping to that conclusion rather quickly, give it a while, remember you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince :-)OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
Webintha, maybe you need a profile make over. If you go to the PoF forum you can post on there in the 'review my profile' section and you'll get some honest advice. Don't forget the info on your profile is the only info anyone knows about you, so it needs to be good!0

Had a lovely, lovely first date last night with a lovely, lovely guy.
Date lasted four hours and conversation never stopped. We talked about some fairly personal things and laughed a bit. There was no physical contact though - he wasn't the sort of guy who touches your arm so you know he likes you. Or at least, he didn't touch mine but he did say he was shy on dates so it mightn't necessarily mean he doesn't like me!
I'm now in agonies of waiting ... wondering if he'll text and ask for a second date.
I've had some guys ask ON the date if I'll see them again but generally they've been the more arrogant ones and they aren't nice to have relationships with. So I don't think it's entirely bad that he didn't ask? Is it? I mean, some guys do wait and text a day or two later to see if you'll see them again!
I'd be really gutted if he didn't want to.
Such an emotional roller coaster isn't it?0 -
sorry i didnt put that across very well, i am full of flu, so wooly headed lol
even though i havent had any replys etc, i am taking this with my tongue in cheek/lighthearted/pinch of salt type of thing
if something happen, then its all good
if not, never mindIf we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

I'm glad it went well Jenny. Dating is such a rollercoaster as you can never be 100% confident what the other person is thinking, but I'm sure by what you put that he is interested. I bet he'll text in the next day or two to ask you out again.
I also don't think the lack of physical contact is a bad sign.....some people are just shy so it takes some time for them to make a move. I don't usually expect hand holding etc on a first date, but a kiss at the end of a night is usually a bonus. Well if you like the person of courseMortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30000 -
Thanks Becky! But it's how to cope with the agony of waiting!
I think it's my personality - I am not good at waiting. And I always worry about things that might not happen e.g. I am already convincing myself that he won't call and then feeling all upset and pathetic because it's frustrating meeting someone nice and them not feeling the same! I have an awful feeling that I'll waste today and get nothing done because of this!0
