I know statistically you're more at risk from someone you know but i admit there is a tiny part of me that worries about it. Especially when i think of some of the stupid situations ive put myself in (and the bad thing that happened when i was 15) [/QUOTE]

i met a guy once who wouldnt leave me alone, luckily i was at the end of a mobile contract so i just got a new one and changed my number. now i am more careful but i still think these sites in general are quite good. to be honest i have had more bad experiences with people i met in clubs!

I think you're in more danger from some random guy you meet in the pub of a Saturday night after a few pints. At least on the Internet you can hide behind your computer until you feel comfortable enough to meet.

The two spelling mistakes I pointed out have been changed. However there is still one spelling mistake on there, I wonder how long that will take to be noticed, or maybe I'll get a private message asking which it is.

I was suspicious that original9skitz praised the site as their first posting on MSE. Just my initial thoughts.

Ah, third spelling mistake has now been corrected - mistakes still showing in cached version on google.

I have a date on Sunday evening! Nervous but excited.
We haven't really spoken a lot. We met about 2 weeks ago on okcupid and have only texted about 5/6 times and spoken on the phone once. We have also chatted via the website a few times too.
We do have some common interests and he added me on facebook last night, so he seems genuine from his profile?
I usually like to chat longer but I'm going to give this one a chance. He seems really nice and I'm worried as usual that I'm going to mess it up.
