I'd be happy to go on dates until I met the right person, unfortunately I'm not getting the opportunity to go on dates.
Im really surprised as Ive just gone back to look at your profile - you're good looking, tall and what you've written is good. If I wasn't 15 years older and living in a different part of the country Id be delighted to get a message from you!
I think you should just message as many girls that you like the look of as possible and see what happens.0 -
Oh my god, there is a guy I chat to on POF on and off I have never felt any kind of spark there to make me want to meet him and felt a bit uncomfortable about it.
Today I was reading a magazine and there is a story in there about him from his ex who he cheated on with other women while she was going through cervical cancer treatment! he confirmed it is him so I guess that is 1 brownie point and of course there are 2 sides to everything but my god did I laugh.
Maybe I should write about my ex and get paid £500 for it?
Won't be meeting him but will still chat, still like the 'country' boy but unsure of what will happen as get mixed signals. I asked if I was wasting my time trying with him and all of a sudden he became chatty, bare in mind he admitted being shy before our 2nd date but would be happy as friends with him as we have a lot in common.0 -

Hi all, yet another long-term lurker here.
Just a quick post aimed at Barny1979, I've been on POF since Nov, I found when I initially signed up I had a period of interest in my profile then it died off, I couldn't understand why. Then I realised when I was running a search, I found myself skipping past people if i recognised their little profile picture, and clicking on new pictures/profiles I hadn't seen before. So in January I thought i'd tart my profile up, change all the fields that appeared in the search results (Headline, Picture, etc), and it worked, lots of new views leading to users want to "meet me", being added as favourites, and more importantly receiving new messages. Again this only lasted a couple of weeks at most, so on Monday I done the same thing again, two messages received both from nice sounding women.
Worth a try if you haven't already, and don't give up hope!0 -
My date went well yesterday.
We ended up going to a local pub and had a couple of drinks in the sunshine. We talked lots and we seemed to get on well.
At the end he did say he really wants to see me again. He then text me when he got home saying he was home safe and sound and that he enjoyed himself. I replied saying I did too.
Now I guess it's the waiting game wondering whether he really will call me or not. I really hope he does but I've been on too many dates where the guy says he wants to see me again, then rejects me afterwards.
This might be looking into the future too much but if he DOESN'T call me, should I call him? I kind of left it in his hands as I did say in the text to let me know when he is next free to meet. I hate waiting though!!!!0 -

I would like to meet him, we've been chatting non stop since he messaged me 3 days ago, in fact i think we spent about 12 hours chatting last night. It's so weird, i haven't clicked with anyone like this before (well not since my ex). I get butterflies in my stomach everytime i see i have a message from him.
I'm sure your date will go fine hunKeep us updated!
Aww, that's nice! I hope things work out. 54 minutes away is nothing! If you really like someone, the distance doesn't really matter at all.
Good luck and keep us updated.0 -
I do and get very little response if anyValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

If Im honest, what has put me off barnys profile was that he has said that he wants to do a lot more traveling and eventually move abroad.
Im 31 and most people my age have either done the whole traveling thing or don’t want to do the whole traveling thing (apart from holidays). Im at the age where I want to settle down and have kids and for that I want my family and friends around.
Id never get involved with a guy who still had itchy feet as if they decided to not travel and stay with me I would feel Im stopping someones dreams0 -
I see what you're saying, though I'd hope that wouldn't be something to stop people at least responding to me?0
