The guy I went for a drink with the other night text me this morning (after not hearing from him at all after the date). He basically said that he wasn't interested in getting to know me anymore unless I was up for some naughty fun with him. I told him thanks but no thanks.

Making it more than one line would be a good start.

'hi how are you' is a message I got recently, I've had shorter ones than that even.

Just try to make it friendly, ensure that the person you are writing to can see that you have read her profile by referring to at least one thing that has been said.

Another message said 'Hi,I'm xxxx;would love to chat with you some time'.

I would have liked a bit more to understand why it was me he wanted to speak to, what was in my profile that made him want to write.

Having said that, my one and only relationship on POF began with my first message saying

I know statistically you're more at risk from someone you know but i admit there is a tiny part of me that worries about it. Especially when i think of some of the stupid situations ive put myself in (and the bad thing that happened when i was 15)
