Although saying that once i did have one guy who i'd let down, nicely, then not so nicely, not even a fook off worked. Became totally stalkerish. In the end i sent him a text him something like....

"This is an automatic reply sent from vodaphone. Your number: 123456789 has been reported to us by the intended recipient of this message as making unwanted or malicious communications. All further communications will be blocked & logged by the vodafone customer services team"

Barney1979 i think the majority of women wait for a guy to message them, so just go for it, if they don't respond then their loss right? Alternatively i'm sure a couple of people on here wouldn't mind looking you up on pof and having a quick glance over your profile to see if there's anything that stands out as off putting.

Can I just ask you all for your advice please.

I met a man off a site last week. He was a nice man but seemed intent on getting me to stay the night with him (at my own pace of course !!) but although we chatted OK there was absolutly nothing about him that I fancied - or could ever fancy..

We left it that if I wanted to get in touch that he would leave it to me - have had one text since just saying to have a nice day.

My cowardly side of me just wants to leave things but my polite side tells me that I should at least send an e-mail to say 'No thanks'

I'm just not sure what would be the best - if someone did it to me would I be more upset at the 'No thanks - your not my type'

What do people usually do?

Sometimes if ive been really busy for a couple of days, and a few messages have built up then actually finding the time to sit and reply to several at once is not appealing, and i have been guilty of simply ignoring a few new people that have messaged me

Although someone were to hit the chat button on a quiet evening then i'll probably speak to them, sometimes i've been typing away for a good 10 mins before i realise i haven't even checked out his profile
