Hi
I have just started my claim against HSBC.and it has been allocated to Northampton Court even though I live in Chester!!
If this goes to court will I have to appear and travel all the way to Northampton?
as far as i am aware all initial mcol claims get processed at northampton then once date is agreed for court ( hopefully it wont get that far ) it gets transfered to your local court0 -

After some advice lol
I issued my money claim against the woolwich on 10th april. mcol sent me a letter saying they had until 29th. Today they acknowledged the claim.
Does this mean
1) they have a further 14 days to decide what they are going to do, pay me or file a defense?
2) So if i filed on 10th april when will the 28 days be up?
3) what are they most likely to do?
Many thanks
xx
They have 28 days to file a defence from the date the claim was deemed served. If you issued the claim on the 10th it is normally deemed served 2 days after that excluding Sundays.0 -
Northampton is a bulk centre court. All cases started through MCOL stay there until a defence is filed then transferred to the appropriate court, in your case Chester. It is only when the file gets to Chester will a date possibly be given.0

So I just wondered what happens now? The letter says the case is being transferred to court but all the test about the allocation questionnaire has been scored out.
Any advice or guidance or links to other posts would be a great help!!!
Thanks!!

Hi,
Just about to register with MCOL. Could someone drop me the link for help with filling out the claim? And I've seen the short claims court notice in the header - this for the particulars of the claim?
Thanks in advance

What do I put in court form regarding details of claim?
This would be sherrif court in scotland (claiming less than £750 before interest and costs).
Can I use Martins wording on the main site and just alter it to read sherrif court rather than county court or is there more to it than that?
Hopefully someone will advise.0
