  • Hi everyone, I need advice. I have two joint accounts with lloyds. (i know will we never learn). I am about to file with mcol. One is for £1381.03 including interest. The other is for £4849.50 without interest. When I was trying to get lloyds to pay up I didn't request the higher amount with interest because of it taking it over the 5K mark. When I file will I be able to request this amount with interest? even though it then takes it aver 5K?
    Thanks for any advice.

This is the stage you add the interest anyway so yes, add it in.

While filling in the forms on MCOL, read the FAQ for many answers.

As regards the timings on MCOL, please read the last post by Beate in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

I have a quick question, I have been trying to reclaim my bank charged from the halifax, 2 seperate accounts, I have been sending 2 sets of letters, it's 2different branches of halifax.
If it gets to the stage of registering with money claim do I have to make two claims or can I do the one which incorparates both sets of charges?
    Thanks
  • Hiya, wonder if anyone can help. We recieved the money we were claiming from Nationwide on friday and because we were away for the weekend we waited to log on to the money claim site to finish our claim. However logged on today to find that where the claim was aknowledged it now says defence and in the judgement column the 'start' bit has disappeared. Can anyone tell us what happens next because it appears that Nationwide are obviously continuing court proceedings.

Can any one help at all. My claim is with the Abbey I have gone to MCOL and they failed to acknowledge so I requested judgement and this was entered. I am now in contact with Inga Kirkman of the Abbey legal team. She is asking me to email a cetificate of judgement to her. All I have is a letter received on Friday which says Notice of Judgement entered. I can also access on line the details of my judgement request and it says the judgement has been issued. How do I get this certificate. Tried ringing MCOL but office is closed.

I don't think you can claim exemption online. It would be best if you went to your local court and filled in the forms there.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH

Hi, I filed my mcol against Lloyds TSB on 29.03.2007, which gave them till 17.04.07 to achknowledge, which they did at the last minute on 17.04. They now have another 14days to defend. is this with or without weekends? Do you know what happens if they defend. Thanks

It is 14 calander days NOT working days. If they defend the claim the file will be transferred to your local county court where a judge will decide how the case will procede
