ASDA parking fines

Thank you. I have replied to say that.... I will not be communicating with T&C parking regarding the exorbitant parking charge, I am bringing my complaint to you as employers of this firm.
I chose to use ASDAs FREE car parking facilities, I did not misuse the space, I was parked while spending money in your shop. My overstay did not incur any losses on your behalf and therefore I request that you have this parking charge quashed.
Please let me know what ASDA intends doing about it.
I think I will also send a letter including a copy of my receipt.0 -

Send a copy of your receipt in reply to Ms Pell and ask what loss Asda suffered by a genuine customer exceeding their parking company's arbitrary 2 hours purely because you were browsing their Christmas display, seeking out toys and DVDs for family presents, trying on clothing, were in the cafe(?), and were spending £xxx on groceries like you (used to) do every week. Ask what timing extensions have been considered for customers driving in to a busy car park in November/December and then browsing & buying in their large store, in the run up to Christmas?
Is there any other reason you overstayed such as by virtue of age or any medical condition? If so then tell us first, as that would also mean that Asda are breaking the Equality Act. We can help you word that paragraph!
If not then go for the first paragraph, specifically asking the question about loss.0 -
I consider the letters/comunications sent out from your agent to be extremly threatening intimidating and in short, harrasment, and as you are respoonsable for the actions of your agent (T&CP parking) i am considering taking action against you for harrasment within the protection form harrasment act unless you stop these lettres with imediate effect, and issue asurances that this will not happen again ( such as removing T&CP parking and any other predatory parking contractors from your site all together.
Thanks for that. I haven't actually had a letter yet from T&C parking as this just happened on Thursday, I was hoping ASDA would quash it before the letters came. This will be good to put in a letter to ASDA when the threats do start to arrive!0 -

Thank you atilla and ManxRed.
I'll see what today brings, if they reply to last night's email.0 -
well she has replied saying much the same as last time. I have asked her to pass me on to someone who can deal with this and mentioned the vicarious liability as in your posts above. Thanks again0

Not sure why you are wasting your time and effort on this
Just ignore these morons and any junk mail they send you.
ASDA are totally clueless on this and will not help you .0 -

We know that's likely to be the case but it's the complaints that count isn't it, not necessarily the outcome in individual cases? We know our informed posters won't pay the PPC, maypole has learnt about this scam so he's not going to fall for it anyway.
It's a good thing if posters persist rather than just accept the rubbish from the Customer Services clerks who have no clue.
Imagine if Asda noticed that complaints about the PPC were soaring and taking up lots of their time, and that customers were not taking no for an answer and simply carrying on complaining up the line each time and voting with their feet?
That's the level of complaints that will have an effect and I am very glad that maypole is bothering.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
