Yes they responsible for the actions of people or companies employed or contracted to them, if it hasn't already been cancelled I would have sent them a letter before action and take them to court for compensation
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I can personally testify that some of the ASDA head-office staff think that all their car-parks are "owned by the council" and run by TCP.It took me three emails before they would admit that they actually own their car-parks.

I would say if they reward customers with one of these fake tickets, they are making it very clear they do not want you to shop with them again.
    Don't argue, oblige !
    Be happy...;)
  • Good result. There seems a total disconnect between Asda's overall policy [the customer is always right] and that taken by their chosen 'car park partner' [we are always right]. That's Asda Price?
  • Hi all
New here. I recieved a parking ticket from T&C due to my blue badge being out of date. (I have recently had more surgery and missed the renewal) I had not realised. My partner was driving my car as I cannot till January. I have read other threads telling people to ignore these 'invoices'
I'm natually a stressed person and this has made me feel ill and I feel it is not helping my recovery. I have been told that if I renew my pass and send them a picture of the new in date one the ticket will be ignored.
Any advice please as I am worrying myself sick that the baliffs will turn up on my doorstep if I ignore.
    Thank you

Whether your badge is out of date or not is nothing to do with the parking company. They are not the police or the council but just a private company. The blue badge scheme does not apply on private land. Bailiffs will not turn up. Stop worrying and don't fall for this scam.

  • Thank you. I was reluctant to pay this invoice as I was on a rare trip out after my op and I did not realise it was out of date.
The guy who issued the ticket was eager for me to pay the fine then to appeal which instantly made my partner suspicious. That is why I started looking on the internet. I just wanted to make sure nothing would happen even with the law change on the 1st October. I will stop worrying. Thankyou again. I will sleep better tonight.

Why on earth should a visit to a Supermarket result in such grief and hassle for a protected disabled person? It is outrageous and you could sue Asda you know!

They are breaking the law to allow their parking agent to pursue this charge now that the agents know you are disabled. The Blue Badge scheme does not apply in private car parks (these companies use/abuse the scheme to make it easier for them to issue tickets to all and sundry, but it DOESN'T even apply).

The Equality Act 2010 applies and you ARE covered by it even if you had no Blue Badge at all. The fact that it has just gone out of date is not only none of their business but clearly it doesn't mean that your disabling condition has suddenly disappeared too. Tell Asda their agents are breaching disability law. Try going into the store and complaining (ask for the Store Manager or Customer Service Manager ONLY) or writing snail mail to the Store Manager and hand delivering the complaint in a sealed envelope. At the CS desk ask for the Store Manager's name (not a Duty Manager) and write it on the envelope as well as 'strictly private and personal - addressee only'. In your letter require them to reply within 14 days and warn them that if the fake PCN is not cancelled immediately you are minded to sue Asda for the disability law breach because they are liable for the harassing actions of their parking agent.

See this thread, see post #73.

Copy & paste that email the person has quoted in post #73 and take it into your Asda branch or include it in your complaint letter if you decide to write. Complain about the fake PCN, show them your receipt as a customer and show them your printout of that reply from the Greenhithe store.

Politely but firmly, invite them to follow suit or they've lost your custom - because they cannot fine customers - cannot fine anyone in fact - and to pursue this matter would be a disability discrimination breach. Tell them how ill and stressed this is making you.

In the linked thread the person had paid the fake PCN. DON'T DO THAT!!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do the above, countless other disabled drivers will be paying up hard earned/scrimped cash that should be gong else where, you know about the private parking industry, but there are plenty of people out there who dont.

ASDA are in breach, and that ASDA should be made aware that it is unaceptable to have this company opperating on their car park.

According to the Smart Parking website, a letter to this fella might be useful.
Tony Wilson, Parking Manager, Asda Stores Ltd

I suspect Retail Development might be the Department he's in.
