    Actually, a few are.
    Stevenage for one.
Seem to recall Southport being another.

But I bet that there is no PPC involvement in these.

Honest answer is i can't say definitely one way or t'other. Definitely patrolled though, didn't pay too much attention to who. Worked in both stores and had to pay for an Asda staff discounted ticket.

The fact that it's TCP - a wholly private parking firm who do not act for Councils - issuing Parking Charges rather than a Council or their agent CEOs issuing Penalty Charges makes it easy to tell the difference. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I know, simply pointing out that one or two sites are actually council owned. The two sites i mentioned are ones i personally am aware of.
We have to potentially visit all of them so do have to watch that we don't get caught out.

I do my shopping regularly in ASDA, never overstayed my time, but today I did and got a parking invoice from Town and City. I rang ASDA to ask if they could do anything as it is the first time I have done this. They said although they employ Town and City they have no control over what they do. Don't know what to do. Any advice please?

£70 or £40 if paid within two weeks!

    1. Don't pay. It's a scam.

    2. Shop elsewhere and tell ASDA.

    3. Don't pay. It's a scam.

    4. Ignore all the crap that will come in the post from the parking company.

    5. Don't pay. It's a scam.

    6. You are obviously a MSE regular. Do some research on this part of the forums and you will see that you are the intended victim of a scam operation.

    7. Don't pay. It's a scam.

    8. Come back to this forum if you need reassurance as each letter arrives.

    9. Don't pay. It's a scam.

    10. Tell all your family and friends about the vermin currently infesting private car parks.

    11. ...... .... I'll leave you to guess ;)

    Thank you for the reply.

Town and City appear to be a member of the BPA British Parking Association, does that mean anything? and because I did overstay my time by about 30 mins, will that go against me. It's just the charge is over the top!
I did speak to someone in ASDA when I got home and told them I wouldn't be back if I had to pay this, but she said there was nothing they could do. I'm afraid to ignore it if I am in the wrong. Even though I feel it is unjust.

The BPA is just a cosy member's club for the parking "industry". It's not a regulator. It always sides with the parking company in any disputes, even when a judge slated a parking company for dodgy signs. According to the BPA the signs were OK and the judge was wrong.

Thank you again for your replies and the reassurance.

The car park is free for 2 and a half hours, I think I was 30 mins over
and it was the very first time I have ever overstayed
This is so annoying when you are actually in their shop spending money!
