it wasn't reversed, they put a hold on it because it looked dodgey a person signing up and the first thing they sell is a £400 phone, they would have released itThis baffles people why I done this, its simple, I had money in my paypal account which they reversed, I was never going to get at it, so do I post my phone and loss out? Or do I just refund the guy who sent the money?0 -
Bear in mind that it's not always just a few minutes - sometimes up to 24-48 hours can elapse. In the UA it's "immediate" but it's not automated, so it probably depends on a number of factors at Paypal HQ as to when it is released. That was what Carol might have been experiencing."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I always tell people who ask for lessons in using Ebay that they must buy 12 items first before thinking of selling a single thing. Why 12 ?, you should get 10 pos. f/b's and this will release any restrictions placed on newbies by Paypal/Ebay.
I also tell them to be prepared to wait for their money as Paypal may still put a hold on their funds.
Tell you what Schmucker, you certainly are a man of little patience. 21 days is not a long time to wait. Now, you have ended-up with a restricted Paypal account (you should still be able to move £1500 through if you link a bank account to it though) and poss. 2 neg f/b's.
You now need to either open a new Paypal business account and link it to your ebay account or see if you can link a bank account to your restricted one. Then go and buy some £1 specials (search for 'Feedback') to boost your DSR's. Get enough pos. f/b and your DSR's go up as the 'Negs' disapear on to page two.Never Knowingly Understood.

Thought I would update on this, a week later after refunding the guy £30 via bank transfer the guy has went to ground, nothing from him. I sent in proof to Paypal that he had been refunded but they won't accept the proof as the bank statement doesn't show the guys account number only his name and FASTER PAYMENTS but to be honest Paypal don't care, they've stopped the bad guy and that's the end of the matter.0

'that's the end of the matter.'

I find it amazing just how many people set up an Ebay account, then make their first listing a high-value item, then whinge when they are blocked or restricted.
If I were going to sell an item with a high value, Ebay would not be my first port of call.Never Knowingly Understood.

but have received payment back?
No wonder ebay have put a block on you. You sold a phone previously and refused to complete the transaction.
If the buyer complained that would be a warning on your account.
If you sold the phone the 2nd time and received payment why have you not posted it? At the same time you bought
a phone?
I think you need to clarify what you have and havnt done with times of how long they paid and you have not posted it.
?
Its not that difficult to understand
Anyway, looks sorted now.0
