Oops, sorry.....saw the thread title and thought it was about me!!!!

Sorry, just trying to keep a sense of humour.
    Hope you resolve your problems.:)

well come on then - what are your failings (or don't you have any being a man!!) :):)
  • Sounds to be that wanting to go on holiday was really a plan to start a fight once on the mainland so he could go off and spend a few nights with someone.

You and your parents will be fine. Just get rid of the berk.

Damn, you make a good point.
I had a facebook profile for the best part of a year. I cancelled it as i had better things to waste time on, than noseying at other people trying to make their lives look more exciting than they really are.

    :rotfl:

    Sounds about right.

I don't use it. I have seen one of my friends use it and frankly it just looked ridiculous. A bunch of silly games about farms and one of his friends posting regular updates on what she was eating... ahh, hmm, yeah....

I'm fairly anti-social though so this whole social networking malarkey passes me by.
  • Op your post reminded me of my ex husband who picked an argument over me drinking tea instead of coffee !! I now know it was to shield his guilt .Oh my !! Men are so different to us girls !! I also agree with Sally A ,about birthday ending in a 0 or 5!!
Go somewhere impartial ( a night away etc) and talk and talk and talk some more , say at the start that by the time you go home the following you will either be together or apart ,

Tbh that's why I don't use it - I don't care if you have just sat down with a glass of whatever to watch X Factor - that's doubly sad really! lol

    Thank you all once again

I know how this all sounds and if I was reading it - I would be saying put up and shut up or pi$$ off - it's just not so easy to do in real life.

Sometimes, I just wish that he would hit me as then there would be no arguments etc - he would be straight out of the door! I know that it's not a nice thing to wish for as there are so many others who are experiencing that for real and would probably love to swap places with me as my experiences are trivial by comparison.

    Oh poo - I am a 41 year old woman - get a grip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two cliched statements I know, but they're accurate - life is too short and where there is a will there's a way. It might not be easy but if you genuinely don't want to be in this relationship any more then you can overcome the problems that you're facing regarding housing and your parents and get shot.

Just imagine another five years of feeling the way you do and see how that rests in your mind.

To be honest a lot of women (and possibly men) in violent relationships find it hard to leave too, if your relationship is affecting your peace of mind then it's time to get out. I know you have other people to think about but put yourself in your mum's place fora minute, how would you feel if your daughter was putting up with this abuse and she didn't tell you ?

It's not easy but people who care about you will help I am sure.
