It's just curiosity on my part Vanille, but you have mentioned 'giving back to the country' and a challenging job several times now...what are you studying to be...lol you don't have to say I am just curious by nature.

I honestly wouldn't know where to begin in posting something productive to someone who can label an anonymous person on a chat forum as "an utter moron and now clearly scum aswell."

OP, i'm one of the people who told you to grow up and i stand by my comment. From what you've said you have done in the past, travelled the world, are training for the CWG, held down a high paying job, i don't think theres anything wrong with you at all. You just think the world owes you big style. And as for the comment about the benefit fraud just being for a few weeks, well, it just reinforces my opinion even more. Why should other people be jailed for benefit fraud and you be the one who is "allowed" because you say you're going to repay it back ? How can you guarantee that ? Just because others do it doesn't make it right does it ?
With all your emotional/mental issues i'd be surprised if anyone offered you a job, your lifestyle and the way you see others makes you a liability, get a grip and join the rest of us in the real world.
The only thing I really find irritating about this is where you say I should join the real world. This is the type of parent talk that I cannot get along with. So I have a different perspective on the issue to you, does this mean that you're ultimately right and I have a mental-case opinion? Writing me off as living in a different reality is exactly the sort of thing I hate to hear. I don't mind if you disagree with my opinion. Debates are healthy and I would hate it if everybody shared my opinion.

I know where you're coming from with the world owing me, I really do, but I don't quite think like that. I don't think I should be shown all sorts of respect, but I don't think I should be looked down upon as a 2nd class citizen. That's all i'm asking for. I feel that both in my household and on this forum.

As for the jail issue, it's a good point. It's not that I think I should be jailed, it's that I've decided to take the risk because i'll get away with it. At the same time, I do feel that i'm different from those who sponge off the government permanently.
I'm using the government for a short period of time, using money i've already contributed. This will then put me in a better position so that I can pay my taxes. The way I see it is for the greater good. Winston Churchill decided to destroy the French navy in WWII, doesn't that make him a war criminal? A horrible person. He did it so that he could save millions. My situation is more selfish than that. I'm doing it so that I can save myself, however it will consequently benefit the government more. If I don't receive this benefit, then i'll have to either quit my degree a few weeks before the end, or i'll have to negotiate a further deadline, which will incur charges of thousands and i'll find it harder to get a job, for which i'd lose out on paying a higher amount of tax. In the long-run it's actually better for government that I abuse them for 3 or 4 weeks.

You are an utter moron and now clearly scum aswell. I feel sorry for your parents you are ungrateful and you come across as a very difficult person

You are committing benefit fraud yet you seem to feel like this is okay ... wake up SPONGER ! Fingers crossed you get shafted by the fraud department although sometime tells he you will just spin them the same "I'm the victim story" as you seem to be doing here
Ok you want to open this can of worms; let's go for it.

I've decided to abuse the system for a small amount of time, with intention to make up for it later. This makes me SCUM? a criminal? Well let's look at Mr. Prime Minister, he admitted to taking drugs when he was younger, was he reprimanded for it? Is he looked down upon by society? NO. If I did it i'd be jailed. Let's look at Stephen Fry, he went to jail for credit card fraud, why isn't he looked down upon by society? He would have got away with it if he could. He's more than made up for it. He also admitted to taking drugs and nobody cares about that.
Once again i'll mention Winston Churchill; he was known for taking cocaine.
Stalin was celebrated despite murdering around 20 million people.

I'm not even in the same league as these people. So what, I abused benefits for a few weeks so that I could put myself in a better position that would in some way benefit the country. Do you really consider me the same as those people who have lots of children and buy houses with benefits for years? Have you ever lied on a CV? Have you ever kept your mouth shut when the woman at the counter gave you too much change?

It's interesting how the government can suddenly change their minds on something and demand that we pay higher taxes or stop doing something that we enjoy, but if I decide something I'm SCUM???

I don't think my reality is as twisted as yours.

I am not going to frown on you. You have a degree to finish, there would be no sense in abandoning it now.

I'm sorry your parents were not able to assist you financially.
I'm also really sorry your degree has gone on so long, but you needed the time, as you say you have family and mental issues.

Please do not resort to attempting suicide, get help asap for this.

Can you stay at a friends and use the library internet, or any other free internet?
I'm sure you really wouldnt want to wish the guilt of a dead daughter by suicide onto your parents. They may be uncooperative, but that is their issue.
I'm glad you are sticking to logic and realise that suicide attempts are stupid. You are not stupid though.
Could you apply for part time work?

Could you seek counselliing from your university and tell them everything that is wrong?

Also, I agree with applying for social housing.
If your parents kick you out, you must go straight to the council/CAB or homeless helping people.

Please don't give up and focus on getting through your degree.

Lazy - How the f*** am I lazy? The very post you quoted of mine is full of things that I've done with my time that i'll bet YOU HAVEN'T. I have accomplished more than most 24 year olds. Where have I been lazy??? Today I came back from a 4 mile walk and then went to complete a 180kg deadlift (amongst other lifts) and then went swimming. What did you do?
    .

It's easy to have the energy for lots of activities when you're cadging off your parents and the state rather than supporting yourself by working.

Would you care to expand on this?

Not really, your posts in this thread (Information youve provided us) clearly point to these flaws, no expansion needed really.

When you say 'accomplished more than most 24 year olds' you mean going to higher education, moving out, going on holiday and getting a job - well... I think most 24 year olds have done that, to be fair. As had I... (Except moving out, I didnt properly move out until I bought my own place at 27. I didnt act like a total fukctard with my mother though...)

With regard to examples of what youve done today, I see some gym, a walk and swimming, which seem like leisure activities to me... a nice indulgence for someone up to date with all chores and with a good source of income... oh wait, not you. So pointless and self serving in your case, then.

Today im finishing the decorating of my house and prepping for the carpet fitter on Monday. Id like to go to the gym for a swim etc but that would impact on tomorrow. Not being a completely self-oriented little sanctimonious vacuum like you, I won't do that. Anyway, back to work, ciao

Vanille it could be said that whilst you are challenging people on here you could be better tackling the degree and making sure you don't have to extend the time spent doing it or living at home!

Really , discussing Churchill or Stalin ( or indeed anyone who has taken bad actions for a perceived 'greater good',) whilst theoretically interesting is irrelevant... ... that is all history, what's done is done and many of us condemn people for specific actions whilst commending them for others,...however what we don't know, though you have stated it several times is that you will be a big asset to the country when you have your degree ?. You may well be, but possibly of no more value than most.

Have you really just compared yourself fraudulently claiming benefits to Winston Churchill sinking the French Navy?
