Samsung 'student' deal - up to £50 cashback

Apparently the excuse for not dropping the price is retailers may already have stock bought at the old price so wouldn't drop their price, also some retailers would maybe split some of the reduction, ie if cost drops 50 they would only knock 20 of their price.
Main reason I am sure is that a lot of people (probably half) never claim or get rejected on small print, which is why they outsource to these shambolic cashback companies so Samsung can hide behind their excuses - clearly not realising no-one cares, and they will never buy Samsung again once they've been ripped off.
IMHO its fraud, and if you buy from a retailer who advertises this cashback thats then part of the terms of that sale, and I would go back to retailer and demand the money, and go to chargeback/section 75 dispute if they didn't pay up.
I bought my tablet online and took screenshots of the website showing the £50 cashback mentioned, so that was clearly included in what I agreed to purchase, but I always expect a battle on these things, and am not always wrong.0 -
my samsung ecobuble washing machine had a good cash back. It was paid with little effort0
