Hi all
My claim was validated 28/10/11. I sent an e-mail to samsungcashback on 20/12/11 enquiring about delay. Received reply same day "slight delay etc."
Received cashback 09/01/12 :j0 -
I'm sorry to hear some people have been struggling to be paid out. My claim was validated back on 14/10/11 and paid on 20/12/11. So although it was well over 30 days, it did come!
Good luck to those still waiting...0 -
After reading all the stuff here, I escalated a claim as I felt it unlikely I would be getting paid and the cashback was a big motivator for me buying my Samsung, even starting legal action against opia through the government claim money online website. I received a detailed response effectively absolving opia of any wrongdoing - as Samsung had not paid them for the promotion, so they were with-holding payments out to claimants. I got my money, but not sure whether I speeded things up or not taking the hard line, as maybe they would have just paid when they got their money anyway!?0

I have forwarded my complaint to BBC Watchdog program as It is now October and I still have not received payment. I have contacted Opia who say that my application is on the system and Could be paid within 45 days.
Can I suggest as many people who are aggrieved could also contact Watchdog0 -
I'm glad I found this site, it helps to know I'm not alone with problems over this promotion. The only reason I bought a Samsung laptop was because of the cash back offer.
I am so skeptical now, Samsung must be making a fortune? I imagine they take our £50 - £100, put it in their bank account and start earning interest, the longer they take to pay you back the more money they make. Consider how many sales they must make? Why not just sell the things cheaper in the first place? No money to be made!!!!!
This has taught me a valuable lesson.... Do not fall for cash back deals
By the way the laptop is great as is the Samsung mobile phone I have as well, it's a shame they go and do this as it will probably put me off buying Samsung again.
I really hope they realize soon and sort it out.0 -
I bought a laptop with this offer last year and it took me over 3 months to get the cashback. They said they didn't expect such a good response. I wonder what's their excuse for this year then? I think Samsung products are great too.0

I have been told I cannot get my £100 cashback on a Samsung laptop I purchased because my application was not received and I am now out of time. Stupidly I did not send my application recorded but I do find it unacceptable that I am not being allowed to reapply - purely a technicality to let Samsung keep my money. What makes it worse is that the deal is being administered by a third party company and Samsung has said it cannot interfer and it has no influence over what this third party decides.
Samsung make the offer to encourage people to buy their products and then wash their hands of it. An absolute disgrace and what I can only consider to be a money making scam.0 -
I received a cheque from Opia Limited for my Samsung cashback and now our bank has returned it saying that the payment has been stopped. Has anyone else experienced this? How to deal with it?0

Having read all that has gone before I am now worried that they are still at their 'games'. I bought a Samsung Tablet back on September 1st 2012 and waited the obligatory 30 days before putting in my £50 cashback claim. They then indicated it would take 14 days to validate the claim and to expect a further 45 days to settlement. Well, the 14 days to validate has morphed to 30 days and the 45 days has morphed to 45 working days and a further 5 days for delays in settlement (despite using electronic transfer!). So, provided all goes well I will have waited just shy of 5 months to receive a £50 cashback that PC World implied was a just a web form away!! Huh, I am not happy with this and will certainly take this further.0
