I've finally had my claim validated after managing to get through to them on the phone.0

***spacemanc*** Samsung have walked all over you!
Watchdog is a lottery, if you are lucky they will get an invite, then several million viewers will see what they are like.
Get advise about going through the county court0 -
I too am having trouble getting my cashback. Called Opia, they were unhelpful, told them how disgusted I am and that I will be contacting trading standards, watchdog, samsungs CEO and if necessary will go to the small claims court. Opias response "oh".
I then rang the CEO at Samsung and they are looking into why I have not received my payment. Now waiting to hear back from them.
I know it's not Samsung at fault but the company dealing with the promotions. Hopefully once they know Samsung are aware of what is going on, they will do something about the way they run things. I won't hold my breath though.

i have had cash back from samsung for my laptop 1 year ago and although it took a while i did get it but in november i bought 2 tablets and applied online 2 recieve 2 free 8 mg memory card and £30 for each tablet
i receieved 1 memory card through and just thought ok the other 1 will arrive through the week, i waited for 2 weeks and then i contacted them to be greeted with an indian man who could not understand my scottish lingo but eventually managed to get my message across to him and he promised the 2nd micro card would be sent out in a couple of days
i contacted them again to be told i only applied for the cashback on 1 tablet and not the 2 of which i argued the case as i in the forn it asked u if u needed to add a prioduct which myself and my husband did this correctly.
now i am told i am too late to apply to get the 2nd cash back and after trying to call samsung on this number 03307267864 i was left waiting for over 28 minutes and ended up puting the phone down as i couldnt wait any longer, i am disgusted with samsung and this offer0 -

Are you sure that you do not have any thing such as a link in an old email that would allow you to make a print out showing what you claimed0 -
Having read what everyone has said about this cashback offer I have nowtaken action , and emailed them directly through the website giving ghem a dead line , in which I want the money paid into my account. Also sayingi will take it further withsamsungs bosses and also with going to watchdog with the issue
Can you keep me updated with any progress? I contacted Samsung CEO who in turn contacted Opia, had reply from ceo confirming mine will be paid within next 7 days (no later than this coming Friday). Several hours later, had email from Opia saying it will be paid in next 7 to 10 days.
I replied to that asking why the time frame keeps changing and saying if I don't receive it by Friday, I will be taking it to the small claims court. Not heard anything since.
I checked my claim status again just now and it still says the same and that payment will be made within 30 days of validation.
Surely they are breaking the law here?

Have just submitted my complaint to Watchdog to bump up number of complaints.0 -
I'm having same issue!
Claim for £50 cashback has been validated...it should have been in my bank account on 7th Feb 2013!!
Emailed them...received this reply:
Dear Mr xxxxxx,
Unfortunately we're having a slight delay on payments due to the
popularity of this offer, however your payment should be through to your
account shortly.
Kind regards,
Tony

Will be waiting a tad longer..maybe an email to the CEO, before LBA!
Any other advice?0 -
I would advise not to wait and to contact Samsung CEO straight away, they need to be made aware of what this company is doing. The more people who contact the CEO the more likely Samsung will do something about it.
I spoke to them the other day and they were very helpful, told them it's giving Samsung a bad name. They got onto Opia. Still haven't got my money but I will keep fighting.
They advertise a 30 day cashback offer, they have to honour that or it's false advertising, which is what's happening as they don't honour it.
People hsve been struggling to get their cashback since 2011 so it's not isolated to the more recent claims.
The email for Samsung CEO is uk.execoffice@samsung.com
Tel 03307263932
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 on 10th December to get this cashback, having jumped through all the hoops my claim was validated 9th January, so is overdue on 30 days payment.
I've emailed to chase Cc Samsung so fingers crossed they can find some money to
honour this
Has anyone been paid recently and how late was it ?
Has anyone gone after the retailer as surely if its sold with cashback offered (mine was very clearly) is this not their responsibility if the manufacturer fails to pay up?0 -

No, it is not the retailer offering the cashback, it's Samsung so they are the ones and the company that pays out who are responsible.
